Jiang-Luo Regime Illegally Sentences 8 Falun Gong Practitioners to 5 to 13 Years of Detention

According to a BBC News report on December 28, 2002, eight Falun Gong practitioners, including Sun Chan, Sun Fangqi, and Zhang Jialin, bravely exposed the slanderous propaganda and broadcast the truth of Falun Gong through the cable TV network. Because of this, on December 28, they were sentenced to 5 to 13 years of detention by Hefei City Mid Level Court in Anhui Province.

According to the news, at about 9 p.m. on May 31, 2002, eight Falun Gong practitioners, including Sun Chan, Sun Fangqi, and Zhang Jialin allegedly tapped into the cable network of Hefei City and broadcast a truth-clarifying video about Falun Gong for more than 30 minutes. More than 3,900 cable subscribers in that area were able to watch these factual messages about Falun Gong that were otherwise tightly blocked in Mainland China.

So far, China has arrested hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners and sentenced many of them to imprisonment. However, Falun Gong's peaceful appeals to the Jiang regime continue.
