Houston Dafa Practitioners Appeal at Chinese Consulate to Call on China to Stop Killing (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From 9:50 am to 10:30 am on January 12, 2003, Houston Dafa practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate, practiced the exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts and invited media to conduct interviews.

Since November 2002, 43 individual accounts of practitioners of Falun Gong being beaten, tortured, and killed by authorities in China have been reported overseas. 22 of the deaths reported actually occurred after November 1, while the remaining cases occurred prior to November. In response to the escalation of death cases due to the Jiang regime's brutal persecution, Falun Dafa practitioners in Houston, like practitioners in over 50 countries, are holding worldwide peaceful appeals and candlelight vigils during the three-day period from January 12 to 14, calling for an end to the killing in China.

It rained and was windy today. All activities were carried out in the rain. Reporters from Channel 39 TV and Xintangren TV Station conducted on-site interviews with practitioners. The practitioners called on the international community and China to pay attention to the persecution and initiate a serious investigation of these cases. Jiang is the culprit who initiated and drove the campaign to persecute Falun Gong. Jiang is being charged with genocide in US Federal District Court. Dafa practitioners request that the killers be punished according to the law and call on China to stop killing Dafa practitioners and end this over three year persecution against Falun Gong and Dafa practitioners by the Jiang regime.
