UK: Appeal Begins Outside Chinese Embassy and Consulate to Stop the Killing in China (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners from London, UK obtained permission from the London Police Department to hold a three-day peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese embassy in London starting at 3pm, January 12. Practitioners held a press conference at 11 am, January 13, 2003, to disclose Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and call for an end to the killing of innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China immediately. Identified by China experts as the instigator and driving force behind the "annihilate-at-all-costs" campaign against Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin has adopted a policy of genocide toward those who practice or are supportive of the practice. Jiang has had charges of "crimes against humanity" brought against him by Falun Gong practitioners in US Federal Court. During the period of peaceful appeal, practitioners will also hold group practice and candlelight vigils.

On the evening of January 12, 2003, practitioners gathered outside the Chinese Embassy in London, to call for an end to the killing of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Despite the cold weather and little time to prepare, practitioners from different parts of the country came to protest the alarming number of recent death cases of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and to demand an end to the Jiang regime's three year long campaign of terror against these innocent and kind-hearted people. A similar appeal also began tonight outside of the Chinese Consulate in Manchester.

This was the beginning of a series of activities planned outside of the Chinese Embassy and Consulate over the next three days, as part of an appeal outside Embassies and Consulates around the world to stop the killing.
