"610 Office" Abducts the Former Member of Lanzhou City's Political Consultative Committee to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner, Mr. Ding, over 40, was a member of Lanzhou City's Political Consultative Committee. Because he steadfastly practiced Falun Dafa, he was removed from the position in the committee. He was persecuted, arrested and detained numerous times, but none of these incidents could shake his determination to steadfastly cultivate Dafa. In November, the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] abducted him and took him to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center where he was persecuted further. His wife, Li Yan, also a Dafa practitioner, thus became destitute and homeless. Just before the Chinese New Year's Eve of 2002, the police illegally arrested her and sent her to the Lanzhou City No.1 Detention Center (also called the Xiguoyuan Detention Center). She is still being detained and suffering because of the persecution. There is no one in their family that can take care of their child.

Dafa practitioner Zhang Rongtuan, female, almost 60, lived in the housing units of the Chunfeng Television Factory. Because she didn't give up cultivating Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance, she was arrested and detained many times. On November 2, as she was going downstairs to buy groceries, and the police officers that were waiting in the building entrance arrested her and took her to the Taoshuping Detention Center to continue their persecution.

The Lanzhou City Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center (a so-called "legal system education center"), Lansan Brainwashing Center, and Taoshuping Detention Center's Brainwashing Center are the places where the "610 Office" executes its persecution of Dafa practitioners. Currently, 70 to 80 Dafa practitioners are being illegally detained at these locations. The centers recruit collaborators [Former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] by paying them 800 Yuan a month [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] to help brainwash the Dafa practitioners who firmly cultivate Falun Dafa.
