Dafa Practitioner Lu Zhengang Held in Fushun City Detention Center, Even Though He Is in Unbearable Pain with Life Threatening Illnesses

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Lu Zhenggang, male, age 52, is the former Party Deputy Secretary, and Secretary of the Inspecting & Discipline Commission of the Fushun City Planning Company, Liaoning Province. Because he went to Beijing to appeal to the government and to validate Dafa, on August 12, 2002, the Hedong Police Substation of Shuncheng District in Fushun City sent him to the Fushun City First Detention Center, where he was illegally sentenced to five years in jail. Before he started practicing Falun Gong, Lu Zhengang had heart disease, a brain tumor, and other diseases. He had two major operations, one on his heart and one on his brain tumor, during which both his chest and head were cut open. After practicing Falun Gong, he fully recovered, and became a completely healthy person. During his detention, under the vicious persecution, his old diseases came back, resulting in loss of sight in his right eye. The detention center sent him to Dabei Prison in spite of his health condition. The prison refused to admit him, and sent him back to the detention center. In the detention center, Lu's heart disease and brain tumor recurred. He was in unbearable pain because of his life-threatening condition.

In October, a Fushun City Central Hospital medical examination concluded that he was "incapable of and unsuitable for prison." The detention center sent the medical examination results to the Shuncheng District Court and to the District Political and Legislation Committee. Both authorities refused to follow the law. They ignored the law, and disregarded the danger to this Dafa practitioner's life. Currently Lu is still in the First Detention Center. His situation is extremely serious.
