Practitioners from Jinchang City, Gansu Province are Illegally Imprisoned

(Clearwisdom.net) Guo Hong, a 40-year-old female employee of the Power Factory of Jinchuan Group, Jinchang City, Gansu province, was kidnapped to a brainwashing center organized by the Fire Brigade of the company. Ms. Guo was there for seven months in 2000 for appealing for Falun Dafa on numerous occasions. In 2001, she was twice taken to a detention center in Jinchang City and was held there for 6 months. In March 2002, she was again taken to the detention center for 8 months. In mid-December, she was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.

Zhang Yulong, a 37-year-old male employee of the Smeltery of Jinchuan Group of Jinchang City, was taken to a brainwashing center organized by the company's Fire Brigade for 5 months. He was then transferred to forced labor for another two months. In January 2002, he was kidnapped while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa, and was consequently arrested in March. He was jailed at the city's detention center for 10 months and in mid-December he was illegally sentenced to 9 years imprisonment.

Xiao An is a 30-year-old male practitioner. He was an employee of the Chemical Factory of Jinchuan Group of Jinchang City until the company fired him for practicing Falun Dafa. In January 2002, he hung up a Falun Dafa banner and was arrested for it in March and jailed for 10 months at the city's detention center. In mid-December, he was illegally sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Wu Kaili, is a 50-year-old male retiree from the Power Factory of Jinchuan Group of Jinchang City. In 2001, he was sent to a forced labor camp and dismissed from work because Falun Dafa books were found in his home. Zhao Fenglian, his wife, was sent to a forced labor camp for distributing truth clarifying pamphlets in 2001. In November 2002, Mr. Wu and his wife went back to their hometown to tell people about Falun Gong. Police from Wuwei City took him into custody. His wife's whereabouts are unknown. Police from Wuwei City and Jinchang City joined forces to ransack Mr. Wu's home.

Qin Dewu, male, 30, is a peasant from Yongchang County. He was sent to Pingantai Forced Labor Camp, Lanzhou City, for over a year for practicing, appealing and clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. In March, he was arrested while hanging up Falun Dafa banners and jailed in the city's detention center for over 10 months. In mid-December, he was illegally sentenced to a 12-year prison term.
