[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Wu Bo, The Head of Zhuanghe City "610 Office," Is Punished By the Law

Since July 20, 1999, Zhuanghe City "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] has been illegally detaining and sentencing Falun Dafa practitioners. It sent practitioners to a detention center more than 300 times. Since April 2000, nine practitioners were heavily sentenced: Liang Guiying, female, 68, to 12 years; Hua Yushuang, male, to 10 years; Wang Chunying, female, 61 years old, to 7 years; Liu Lihua, female, to 7 years; Li Yuqin, female, to 5 years; Yang Shumei, female, to 5 years; Jie Guihua and her daughter Lin Yin to 3 years each. They were sent to Dabei Prison in Shenyang. More than 100 practitioners were sent to Shenyang, Masanjia and Dalian forced labor camps for 1 to 3 years. Some practitioners' sentences were extended an additional 8 or 9 months.

Recently, the police from the Liaoning Police Bureau arrested Wu Bo, the head of Dalian "610 Office." The details are not known.

Note: With the government so corrupt, the majority of Chinese officials have committed illegal acts, including taking bribes and abusing power. However, only a handful of these officials have been disciplined.

[Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Pingshan District Court Illegally Brings Falun Dafa Practitioners To Trial

In December 2002, Pingshan Court illegally tried practitioners Zhang Guishen and Xu Shoufu without informing their families. No audience was present at the hearing. A practitioner asked the judge as to why he did not mention that the police extorted 10,000 Yuan in personal property from them at the time of their arrest. [The monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan]. The police immediately took the practitioners away from the court and ended the illegal trial.

At 9 a.m. on January 9, 2003, Ganjingzi Court illegally tried practitioners, including Yang Chuanjun. We still do not know the details.

[Jilin City, Jilin Province] Female Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Yin Is Abducted Again

At 9 a.m. on December 25, 2002, the police from Gaoxin Police Station in Fengman District illegally arrested Wang Yin at her workplace, the Radiation Chemistry Research Institute. Wang Yin was tortured before in Jilin Forced Labor Camp and almost lost her life. Now she has been arrested again for no reason.

[Handan City, Hebei Province] Handan Police Arrest Nearly 100 Falun Dafa Practitioners in October 2002

Before the Party's 16^th Congress, Handan "610 Office" ordered the city's police department to widely arrest practitioners. Nearly 100 practitioners from Handan City were arrested: some were sent to a detention center, some were taken to a brainwashing center, and some are missing.

Huang Aihua, female, 57, worked at Handan Textile Machinery Factory. In December 2000, she was arrested for clarifying the truth about Dafa and was held at the Second Detention Center. She was released in September 2001. Hanshan District Judicial Institute threatened her family and extorted 20,000 Yuan in cash. Before the Party's 16^th Congress in October, Luochengtou Police Station again arrested her and took her to Handan First Detention Center. They said that she would be sentenced.

Wang Huirong, female, 51, worked at Handan City Meat Products Factory. In September 2001, she was arrested for clarifying the truth about Dafa and was illegally held at Handan First Detention Center. She was tortured until her life was in danger and was sent to a forced labor camp. The camp refused to accept her. She was finally released in July 2002. In October 2002, the police broke into her home and again abducted her. She was taken to the First Detention Center.

[Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Female Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Ailan Is Illegally Arrested

The police arrested Wang Ailan on December 24, 2002 from her home and confiscated Dafa materials and all of her savings.

[Yi County, Liaoning Province] Three Female Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Abducted and Taken to a Detention Center

On September 26, 2002, the police from Dayupu Village Police Station abducted Qi Yufang, Qi Shangyun, and Kan Suling and took them to Yi County Detention Center, where seven other practitioners, including Sun Linghua (female) are being held.

[Pujiang, Sichuan Province] The Persecution of Female Falun Dafa Practitioner Cao Jinfeng

In October 2002, Cao clarified the truth about Falun Gong to a monk at Shixiang Temple in Shixiang Lak, Pujiang and was arrested and taken to Pujiang Detention Center. She was released five days later after paying a fine of 5000 Yuan.
