Some Personal Thoughts on Thoroughly Clarifying the Truth
By Lingyun
[Editor's note: Although this article targets practitioners in China, we
hope practitioners elsewhere can also benefit from the principles that the
author has enlightened to.] (Clearwisdom.net) Here is a question that I have been pondering for quite some time: Our
overseas practitioners have been clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to
mainland Chinese using various approaches, and many people in China have been
exposed to the materials that we have prepared for them. Why then are there
still so many people who don't know the truth? Personally I feel that we need
to be a little more thorough in clarifying the truth. It's not enough to count
only the number of people we reach or areas that we cover. We also need to
emphasize the quality of the truth-clarifying materials. Chinese people are
quite sophisticated in their thinking, and the factors that affect their
positive understanding of Falun Dafa might not be the same from person to
person. We need to effectively target the hindrance that each individual may
uniquely face. Master says in "The Issue of Treating Illness" in Lecture Seven
of Zhuan Falun, "When one develops gong in high-level cultivation, what
one generates is the high-energy matter, which can indeed heal, repress, and
control an illness, but it cannot remove the root cause. Therefore, to really
heal an illness and completely cure it requires supernormal abilities. There
is a specific supernormal ability for curing every illness." I have had this experience over and over again: It may take me a long time,
perhaps a whole night, to clarify the truth to someone. However, once he has
become fully aware of the truth, he will clarify the truth to those he knows.
It seems that I have spent so much time on a single person, but as a matter of
fact, this is very effective, as everyday people who have learned the truth
will in turn help spread the truth. This is more or less similar to the early
days when Falun Dafa was widely spread through word of mouth and from the
heart of one individual to the next. The word spread very quickly. This is my individual experience, and I look forward to receiving any kind
comments and corrections from fellow practitioners. |
