A Dafa practitioner who had just been released from detention met an elderly woman whom he knew. This elderly lady was very sympathetic to Falun Dafa. She said: "You did nothing wrong. Practicing the exercises made you healthy. There is nothing wrong with being a good person and treasuring virtue. We as common people all understand that the TV and newspapers are just a big mouth that the authorities use to deceive people and spread lies."

"The Truth Will Come Like a Landslide"

An old man who delivers firewood said, "I can hardly believe it. How can it be against the law to practice exercises, cultivate one's body and mind, and be good people by following the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance? Like the old saying goes, 'The truth will come like a landslide. When the axe is sharp, the hard wood is nothing to be afraid of.' If Falun Gong has righteousness, it will also have strength. In facing the pressure, it all depends on whether you can persist in doing the exercises. When you keep on doing the exercises, constant effort will surely yield success."

"Suicide and Killing are Obviously Not a Part of Falun Gong"

When a Falun Gong practitioner was having a key made to fit a lock, he clarified the truth about the "self-immolation incident" to the elderly locksmith. After hearing the truth, the old man said, "If Falun Gong's founder teaches his disciples clearly in the books that they should cultivate themselves by following Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and if he tells them that they should not kill or commit suicide (because suicide is also a sin), then the suicides and the self-immolation talked about on the TV programs are obviously not a part of Falun Gong."

A Village Branch Party Secretary Secretly Protects Dafa Practitioners

A Village Branch Party secretary understood the truth about Falun Dafa and knew that those who practiced Falun Gong are very good people. He decided to protect Dafa practitioners in secret. On one occasion the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] wanted to hold a brainwashing class and asked for the registration list. The Village Party secretary refused to comply. Another time, a Dafa practitioner was reported to the police substation by some evil people as he was posting truth-clarification materials. When the police substation sent someone to arrest him, the Village Party secretary said: "This flier was not posted by our villagers." The police had no other choice but to leave.

"Falun Gong Practitioners Are All Good People."

A female Dafa practitioner was clarifying the truth to a group of people. A person who was deceived by the lies said something to defame Dafa. Then a man who had just been released from jail said, "Those who practice Falun Gong are all good people. They do not fight back when beaten, they do not curse back when being cursed. They are so nice to other people. They are really good. Falun Gong is really good."
