1. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Female Falun Dafa Practitioner Huang
Haiyan Is Beaten Until Becoming Completely Blind
Falun Dafa practitioner Huang Haiyan, from Foshan City, Guangdong Province,
is in her twenties and had lovely eyes. Recently she was thrown into the Chatou
Forced Labor Camp and has lost eyesight in both eyes. The police viciously beat
her face, which resulted in damage to her right eye. Because immediate medical
treatment was not provided her left eye was also affected. Currently she is
having a very difficult time taking care of her daily needs in the forced labor
camp. Another Falun Dafa practitioner, who is staying with her his helping her.
2. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Yin Lianying from
Shaoyang City, Hunan Province Is Tortured in Prison Until the Verge of Death
Falun Dafa practitioner Yin Lianying, from Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, was
arrested on October 20, 2002. She was unlawfully held in the No. 1 Detention
Center of Shaoyang City. Due to the severe persecution she received in prison,
she is on the verge of death. Her family has filed a request for her "parole for
medical treatment." However, the police department rejected the request citing
that she is "a dangerous figure" and "they would rather let her die in the
prison than release her."
3. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Jinmei
Suffers from a Crushed Bone Fracture in the Upper Left Arm As a Result of Police
Torture
Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Jinmei was unlawfully arrested by the Beidao
Police Department in Tianshui City, Gansu Province for producing CD's that tell
the facts of Falun Gong. Zhang has been brutally tortured for fifty-four days in
the Baidao Detention Center. During an unlawful interrogation, section chief Wu
Hongxia of the Political Security Section along with another male police officer
Dong hit Zhang's upper left arm so hard that the result was a bone crushing
fracture. Zhang Jinmei was then transferred to the Luergou Detention Center in
Tianshui City for further torture on November 4. Other Falun Dafa practitioners
Hei Huiyu (female), Wang Xin, elderly practitioner Gao, Shang Junbin, Xiao
Yantian, and a young married couple with the name of Fan were also transferred
to the Luergou Detention Center.
So far, there are eighteen Falun Dafa practitioners unlawfully held in the
Luergou Detention Center. The person in charge of the persecution is Lei Jianguo
of the Tianshui City Police Department.
4. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Facts About Falun Dafa Practitioners Being
Held and Tortured in Xiangfan City, Hubei Province
Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Yun from Xiangfan City, Hubei Province was
unlawfully arrested by the police on November 17 while distributing Falun Gong
truth clarifying materials. He is held in the No. 2 Detention Center in Xiangfan
City. On November 25, elderly Falun Dafa practitioner Li Sanxi was forcibly
abducted from his home by police officers from the Xiangfan Railroad Police
Division. They confiscated his Falun Dafa books and truth clarifying materials.
His wife and granddaughter are having a hard time making a living as they now
have no source of income. Elderly practitioner Cao and little Wang were reported
missing in the afternoon of December 11 in the Fancheng District in Xiangfan
City. Their whereabouts are currently not known.
During the 16th Party Congress, Yao Ren'an, the Party Secretary of
the Political and Judiciary Committee of Xiangfan City, ordered the Xiangfan
City "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong,
with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other
political and judiciary systems] and subordinate police stations to arrest
over a dozen Falun Dafa practitioners, including Wang Ping (female), Li Xianhua,
Zhang Qinghua, Zhou Jingwen, Luo Jinguang, Song Yulian (female) and others. All
of these practitioners have since been released after holding hunger strikes.
On September 14, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Weishan was abducted to a
detention center for the seventh time for persevering in Falun Dafa practice.
She firmly resisted the evil persecution by going on a hunger strike. She was
force-fed for over forty days and beaten by cellmates every day. On October 13,
she was secretly sentenced to four years in prison. On October 14, she was taken
to the Wuhan Women's Prison despite her extremely weak physical condition.
5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Facts of Crimes Committed by the "610"
Brainwashing Classes in Zibo City, Shandong Province
Since July 2002, the "610 Office" in Zibo City, Shandong Province has
conspired with local police departments to deceive and abduct 170 Falun Dafa
practitioners into a so-called "Legal Education Center" brainwashing center. It
costs over 400,000 Yuan (about US$50,000) to construct this brainwashing center.
Falun Dafa practitioners lose their freedom as soon as they are thrown into it.
Everyday they are forced to listen to lies that defame Dafa and distort the
truth. The "610 Office" has resorted to sleep deprivation, intimidation, and
other mental and physical abuses to torture determined Falun Dafa practitioners.
If they still refuse to give in, the practitioners will be sent to forced labor
camps or prison.
For each Falun Dafa practitioner abducted into the brainwashing center,
either the practitioners or their work unit are extorted of 1400 Yuan for the
"education cost." [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker
in China.]

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Bo Is
Arrested
At 8:35 p.m. December 6, police officers entered Liu Bo's home with a search
warrant. After packing up materials they had found, the police took Liu Bo to
the police station. Liu Bo was released at 11:00 p.m. that night.
Around 8:00 a.m. the next morning, three police officers came again to take
Liu Bo to the police station. After 2:00 p.m. Liu was sent to the detention
center. Since his arrest, Liu Bo has been on a hunger strike to protest the
persecution.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Gan Lianzhang
Is Arrested
Party Secretary Ma Guoren of the Honggang Police Station in Daqing City,
Heilongjiang Province led five people to abduct Falun Dafa practitioner Gan
Lianzhang from his home. Personal items taken away by the police included: 2600
Yuan in cash; deposit certificates, wallets, a personal computer, two television
sets, a portable DVD player, home owner's certificates, the title of the home,
the residential book, keys, three cellular phones, a walkman, foreign exchange
currency, food in the refrigerator, etc. The police then stayed in his home for
several days and took his children to the police station for interrogation and
intimidation lasting until past 10:00 p.m. Even those who visited his home were
taken to the police station for interrogation and intimidation.
8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Several Falun Dafa Practitioners Are
Under Arrest
Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Xuezhen, who lives near the Yuexiu Park in
Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province was arrested on November 13 while
distributing Falun Gong truth clarifying CD's.
In late November a practice site near the Keziling area in Baiyun District,
Guangzhou City was damaged. Aunt Liu and over a dozen Falun Dafa practitioners
were arrested. Visits from family members are not allowed.
9. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Severely
Tortured at the Linping Town Prison in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang
Province
The Linping Men's Prison in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province
is divided into the No. 2 Prison and the No. 4 Prison. Over a dozen Falun Dafa
practitioners are held in the No. 2 Prison serving harsh prison terms. Most of
them are firm in their belief. Falun Dafa practitioners are also held in the No.
4 Prison. It has been learned that Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Xuejun from
Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province is also held there. Wang was spotted by the
police while distributing leaflets in Beijing in 2000. He was subsequently
sentenced to four years in prison. The address is Branch Box 06, P.O. Box 50,
Linping Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, ZIP Code
311000. Practitioners have suffered there from torture and abuse for an extended
period of time.
10. [Handan City, Hebei Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
and Take Possession of Their Property
Prior to the session of the Party's 16th Congress, the police from
the Handan City, Hebei Province placed practitioners under arrest and ransacked
their homes. The police took possession of cash, deposit certificates, tape
recorders, and other valuable items. They even smashed furniture before leaving.
An elderly practitioner was taken to the detention center simply because the
police found a Falun Dafa book in her home. The police took the only 100 Yuan
she had, that her son had just given her. Her elderly husband tried to argue
with the officers, but they cursed, threatened, and violently took the 100 Yuan
anyway.
11. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Chunsheng Is
Arrested
Falun Dafa practitioner Li Chunsheng of the Wood Storage Factory in Tianshui
City, Gansu Province was taken away by the Beidao area police over a month ago.
The two children are having a hard time living. They were left with their
elderly grandmother who is over 70 years old.
