Master Li said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.",

"How was the cosmos created? It was created just by a Great Fa Enlightened Being's one thought. (Applause) The single thoughts of the Great Enlightened Beings at different levels created cosmoses at different levels."

It's my understanding that various heavenly bodies in the vast firmament were created by such thoughts of Dafa disciples. The deviation of the cosmos is actually the result of deviation in thought. The process to obtain the Fa and cultivate is the process to rectify all kinds of concepts with "Zhen-Shan-Ren," (Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance) so as to change the thoughts of Dafa disciples back to the purest righteous thoughts that conform to the standards of Dafa, i.e. assimilating to the Fa.

When I read Zhuan Falun again, I had a completely new understanding about the thought that is mentioned in the Fa. The foreword of Zhuan Falun, "Lunyu," is a summary of the Fa and what "Lunyu" tells us is to change our concepts: "humankind must fundamentally change its conventional thinking."

The history of the cosmos is a process of thought and the crux of cultivation is the rectification of thoughts. I now have a deeper understanding about cultivating one's inner self. In Zhuan Falun, Master Li tells us two reasons why we are not able to increase gong in practice, "Without knowing the Fa at high levels, one cannot practice cultivation. Without cultivating one's inner self and one's xinxing, one cannot increase gong. " The fundamental Great Law of the cosmos, Falun Dafa, can enable us to fundamentally change human notions. We know that we must cultivate our inner self and rectify every single thought and idea of ours with "Zhen-Shan-Ren."

When I read Zhuan Falun from beginning to end once again, I understood four words: righteous thoughts, righteous actions. Master Li said in Zhuan Falun, "matter and mind are one thing." My understanding is that thought is matter and all matter has thought. Human thinking can generate fake Buddhas and fake Bodhisattvas, while wall and stone can also speak in other dimensions. If the thought is righteous, then everything around could be rectified. As Master Li said in Zhuan Falun, "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." And if the thought is not righteous, it is very easy to have "transformation follows mind-intent" or "demonic interference from one's own mind." It is my understanding that this thought can even decide the outcome of one's life, and thus Dafa requires us that "Your Main Consciousness Should Predominate" and "Your Mind Must Be Right."

Facing the same tribulation, why will there be different results? The reason is that the thoughts everyone has are different. If the thought are righteous enough, the practitioner will surely be able to overcome the danger and tribulation, and pass the test openly and nobly. If the thought is not righteous enough, the old forces will viciously make use of it and increase the tribulation.

We have known that the old forces have made use of many loopholes in our thoughts. In fact Master Li has kept asking us to have righteous thoughts. If we could enlighten to it in time, cultivate our inner selves as one body, and have no loopholes within the Fa, then we could have avoided many detours and unnecessary losses, and even much of persecution would not have happened.

"Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

Looking back on the Fa-rectification process in past few years, maybe sometimes we have paid too much attention to the activities and actions that people can see and touch on the surface, overly relying on our skills in society. We seem to underestimate the righteous thoughts that we should have during this process, yet it should be the basis and fundamental guarantee for doing our work well and eliminating all forms of interference. I understand that righteous thoughts are even more important than the actions on the surface. Since one thought of great enlightened beings could create a cosmos, then what cannot be solved by thoughts?

Our thoughts resulted in many things, and then we look into ways to resolve these issues -- it should not be like that. If we had righteous thoughts as one body, these issues would not have happened at all.

Master Li taught us how to use the divine abilities of the Buddha-Fa to eliminate the evil in the form of righteous thoughts, and cultivating one's inner self is fundamental for us to upgrade as one body and leave no loophole for the evil to make use of.

Let us study the Fa well with a calm mind and think about the result of our thoughts. Have we removed those thoughts? Then think about what thoughts we still have and what consequences these remaining thoughts may bring? What can we do so that we can live up to being Master's disciples, and Great Fa Enlightened Beings full of righteous thoughts?

Of course, we cannot go to extremes in anything and we should do things rationally in our daily lives and cultivation, which is also a manifestation of looking at things with righteous thoughts and not being influenced by interference.

I hope we can all find encouragement by reading again Master Li's poem "A Righteous God":

A Righteous God

With righteous thoughts and righteous actions
He is diligent without letting up
Eliminating demons that damage the Fa
He is good to all beings
