Article by the son of a Dafa disciple

(Clearwisdom.net) I am now going to college. The sheer fact that I am in college is due to the hopes of a lot of people, and it was also due to the support of a lot of people, especially my stepmother, a Dafa disciple who practices "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." Her support was my driving force.

A year ago at around this time, my father, a Dafa disciple, was persecuted to death in a labor camp. At that time, I collapsed mentally. I couldn't think clearly and couldn't concentrate on my studies. I fell asleep during the national college entrance examination and no college admitted me. I was very depressed in those days. It was my stepmother who gave me hope and the strength to recover during the lowest point of my life.

The death of my father had a much bigger impact on my stepmother than on me. The livelihood of the family of four (3 children and herself) now rested on her shoulders. She not only had to feed the family, but also had to support my brother, sister and myself to go to school (she is the biological mother of my brother and sister.) Though placed under severe hardship, my stepmother insisted that I study for another year and take the exam again the next year.

Mother's decision was unexpected. My relatives and neighbors didn't anticipate it, neither did my biological mother. She said she wouldn't have made such a decision. [Note: Going to college is difficult for children from the rural areas in China. Parents usually ask children who fail to be admitted to college to work on the farm or go to cities to work to support the family.]

It took a great mother to make such a decision. Mother said that it was Dafa that gave her courage and strength. But Dafa is being persecuted right now. I am sure that people who have a conscience and know history understand: righteousness and evil cannot coexist; righteousness will eventually prevail.

Falun Dafa gave me a good mother, and I realized my dream of going to college. I am sure I will also realize my dream of justice for Falun Gong, and I hope to practice Falun Dafa.
