Driving Out Interference With Righteous Thoughts and Actions
(Clearwisdom.net) I felt greatly enlightened after reading fellow practitioners' articles, so I decided to write
about my cultivation experience to share with fellow practitioners and encourage others. I hope that
Teacher and my fellow practitioners will rectify anything improper with compassion. There is a process in every single thought and action: Primordial Spirit --> Brain -->
Action. The message and instruction sent by the primordial spirit will be reflected in the brain,
and will then instruct the brain to initiate human actions or re-actions. Master was very clear
about this in the section entitled "Mind-Intent" in Zhuan Falun. I
think that during this process, the interference originates from the following aspects, and the old
forces make use of these to interfere with us. They also use them as an excuse to persecute
practitioners. 1. Fa-rectification practitioners need to rectify the origins of their own lives. Even the spirit
has become impure. Only the Fa-rectification can help to purify it, since even the practitioners'
inborn, fundamental nature has become impure. In the process of our cultivation, Teacher has helped
us to fundamentally change all of these. Falun Dafa practitioners, during cultivation, all try to
grow out of their selfishness and egoism and try to cultivate themselves as righteous enlightened
beings who think of others first. Falun Dafa practitioners should take the Fa as the Teacher and
place strict requirements on themselves. 2. The old forces send out messages directly, fooling the brain into thinking that this
information comes from one's primordial spirit. The old forces also arrange for evil lives on level
after level to interfere with the process of transmission between the primordial spirit and the
brain. Practitioners must study the Fa well enough to remain sober-minded and take the Fa as the
Teacher to control every single thought and action within our brains. 3. Besides this, Teacher mentions several times in his teachings that Falun Dafa practitioners'
cultivation is actually for the higher-level beings to use this "human flesh". In order to
arrange this evil persecution, the old forces have expended much effort on this "human
flesh", so all notions of this flesh are closely related to the many things of the old forces
in history. During this evil persecution, if Falun Dafa practitioners do not have strong righteous
thoughts, the old forces will try to plant degenerated notions in their brains. The notions of this
human flesh also prevent Falun Dafa practitioners from formulating righteous thoughts and actions. 4. Falun Dafa practitioners' actions themselves may be interfered with from outside. Teacher has
pointed out in "Expounding on the Fa", "...if there do not exist other problems in
your xinxing or conduct, it must be that the evil demons are capitalizing on the weak spots
caused by your lack of control." Taking the issue of whether we should pay attention to
security as an example, I think we still must take necessary precautions. In facing the interference, I feel we should still do well the in following two aspects: 2. We should keep ourselves in a rational and calm "quietness." Especially when
problems occur, we should calm ourselves and use the Fa to judge everything, and to determine
whether our thoughts are righteous or not. If our thoughts are not righteous, we should rectify the
situation immediately. Master mentioned in the section entitled "Transformation of Karma,"
in Zhuan Falun, that "...When you always maintain a heart of benevolence and compassion,
you will have time or room to buffer the confrontation and think, should a problem arise
suddenly." The advantage of this approach is that old notions and external interference are
unable to play any role. Since we, as practitioners, have a very solid foundation in our
cultivation, when our minds are calm, and we compare our thoughts with the Fa, we will know which
are righteous thoughts and which are interference. For Falun Dafa practitioners, righteous thoughts and actions come from the Fa. The Fa becomes
clearer with continuous, diligent, cultivation. In our cultivation, we should continue to eliminate
our attachments and make our conscience stronger and more rational. The result is that all kinds of
interference can be distinguished. Only by taking the Fa as our Teacher can we differentiate
righteousness from interference, eliminate the interference, and ensure that our thoughts and
actions are righteous.
