In 2002, Dafa practitioners who were illegally sentenced in Tieling City, Liaoning province include: Liu Shuyan (female), Han Banggui (male), Sun Shuzhen (female), Wu Yumei (couple), Liu Zhiming (female), Gao Jie (female), Liu Liwei (female), Dong Qinyu (male), Cheng Yuzhi (female). They were all detained at the Shenyang Dabei prison. Police officers in Tieling City queried everyone in a given area if they found any activities carried out by a Dafa practitioner. While doing this they held the practitioner's picture in their hands.

Just prior to the Chinese New Year for 2003, a small experience sharing conference was held in a certain city. Practitioners summarized the current situation, and discussed practitioners' shortcomings. At the end of the conference, everyone placed their palms together to greet Teacher Li. They are all determined to practice diligently in the coming year to fulfill each one's historical duty.

Li Weiji (male), in his fifties, helped Dafa practitioners go through procedures that would allow them to travel abroad. Li had previously been arrested and declared a "traitor." A few Dafa practitioners including Yu Liping (female), Zhang Bo, Wang Hongshu, and practitioners Ms. Wang and Ms. Cai from Shenyang were also arrested.

Wang Ken is now in his twenties and is a teacher at the Fangcun middle school. He was arrested in September, 2002 in the Yuexiu District Post Office. On the evening of his arrest he was sent to the Fangcun Detention Center and was interrogated. On the second day he was sent to the Third Squadron of the Chini Forced Labor Camp in Huadu City without any court trial.

Falun Dafa practitioner He Yuanchao (male, 32) was detained for 15 days after going to Beijing to peacefully appeal in November of 1999. At the end of December 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for a second time, and was illegally sentenced to one year at a forced labor camp. He was again illegally arrested in 2001, and was released after going on a hunger strike for over 50 days.

On May 15, 2002, he was illegally arrested in the Kuming railway station while he was looking for a job in Kunming, and was detained at the Cuxiong Zhoulufeng second detention center. He has recently been secretly transferred to the Panzhihua city detention center.

Xiao Rongzhen, from Nanyang City, was arrested once again on January 16, 2003. Police took her from her home and her whereabouts is currently not known.

One day in 2002, police in a city in Shandong province went to the countryside to arrest Dafa practitioners. After failing to knock down the outside door of a female Dafa practitioner's home, the police climbed over the yard wall, and broke into her room. Her husband was brutally beaten up when he tried to stop the police. The police arrested the practitioner (who was later detained for over one month) and ransacked her house, leaving the rooms a total mess. After the police left, the family found that over 3000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] of cash had been stolen. The police did not mention the money afterwards.

Police officers then broke into the home of another female Dafa practitioner to arrest her, and ransacked her entire house. Under a mattress of one of the beds, the police found over 20 Yuan in cash. They simply put the money into their own pockets. The female Dafa practitioner's husband questioned them by saying: "Is it now the money that has committed the crime? Shouldn't you provide a receipt when you take someone's money? The police replied shamelessly, "We are busy at the moment, we may give you a receipt tomorrow." But no written record of the money was ever provided by police.
