Some Thoughts on Selecting Truth-Clarifying Materials for People in China

(Clearwisdom.net) After July 20, 1999, I bought a computer and learned to
access the Internet in order to read materials on Dafa web sites and to download
truth-clarifying materials. Three years have passed. I have had some experiences
and learned some profound lessons. Fa-rectification has come to this point. I
have realized how important and critical it is to select the proper
truth-clarifying materials. To choose good truth-clarifying materials based on a
deep understanding of the Fa and from the standpoint of the Fa will directly
affect the salvation of sentient beings and the progress of Fa-rectification.
Here I would like to share my personal understandings with fellow practitioners
as a reference.
1. Spreading the Fa directly is our primary means
The purpose of clarifying the truth is to clear people's minds that have been
poisoned by the slander and lies and to save deceived people. The propaganda by
the evil has made people misunderstand Dafa and the relationship between Dafa
and sentient beings. We may choose stories from Dafa web sites such as Minghui,
Zhengjian and Xinshen [Chinese websites that contain information about Falun
Dafa; Minghui is Clearwisdom.net in English, Zhengjian is Pureinsight.org and
Xinshen does not have an English version yet] that talk about the mental or
physical benefits obtained through practicing Dafa, the historical stories that
comply with Dafa's principles and are understandable and acceptable by the
ordinary people, the current cases about the persecution of Dafa practitioners,
or the articles that can make people think deeply after reading and get a
sympathetic response from their minds. Although the evils vilify us, we should
try not to use offensive words. In addition, long discussion articles (people
don't like to read or accept them) have no good effect because most ordinary
people don't have patience for topics they are not interested in. We should
especially try not to touch any unhealthy phenomena or issues in the ordinary
society that may create obstacles in people's minds.
2. Inspire people's kindness and avoid touching the demon nature in human
beings
Our goal is not to forcefully persuade people but to save them. Master said: "It's hard to save people nowadays. You have to explain things to them by
following the logic of their attachments. For the sake of saving them, don't
create any obstacles for them." ("Touring North America to Teach the Fa,"
unofficial translation)
Therefore, we should advise people with goodness and inspire their kind
natures. Because nowadays many people have very strong demon nature, we should
be careful while choosing materials and pay attention to the words we use. For
some articles or language that may touch people's negative emotions and are not
easily accepted or understood, we should be careful in using them.
3. Manifest the sacredness and greatness of Dafa; Concentrate on the actual
effect
Every flyer of ours and every booklet represents Dafa and is effective in
saving people. It should manifest the wonderfulness of Dafa. If we choose the
materials well and design it well, ordinary people can see the beauty of Dafa
from it. Master said:
"In human society nowadays there are a lot of bad phenomena, bad people,
and bad behavior, which completely depart from what is human, even to the
point that some people not only have warped mentalities, but also enormous
demon nature. So what should we do about this situation? I'll tell you:
nothing." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")
Every word and deed of ours should manifest the sacredness and greatness of
Dafa, so that ordinary people can change their opinions and understand Dafa. In
reality, we should not stress on the amount of truth clarification (of course,
the more, the better) but the real effects, so that we can clarify the truth
more effectively and more in depth than before. Standing on the basis of the Fa
to choose materials with rationality, we will be able to clarify the truth
effectively, so as to save sentient beings, and to manifest the wonderfulness of
Dafa to the world's people who can be saved.
