Police Kidnap Over Twenty Practitioners in Jianping County, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In early October 2002, a female practitioner was kidnapped to the Jianping County Detention Center. Because of her refusal to give up her practice of Falun Gong, she was illegally detained for over eighty days. During the same period, more practitioners were kidnapped to the same detention center.

On October 15, 2002, a practitioner's family member Mr. Chen (over fifty years old, a non-practitioner) was kidnapped to the county detention center. The police tortured him by hanging him up by the handcuffs and then beating him. Chen is currently detained in the First Criminal Detention Center. A source in Public Security said that some people planned to sentence Chen to thirteen years in prison. His case was delivered to the Chaoyang Intermediate People's Court and is waiting for the court's decision.

On October 16, 2002, practitioners Li Hailin (male, 46 to 47 years old, a former assistant at the local Falun Gong assistance center) and his wife Xu Shuhua (female, 45) were kidnapped by the police while they were on the way to pass out Dafa materials. The couple was very firm in their belief of Dafa and protested the persecution. Li Linhai was hung up and beaten. He was cuffed to the heater, not allowed to sleep and closely monitored around the clock.

To avoid being arrested by the police, the couple has not been at their home since March 2002. It is said that the police confiscated many copies of Zhuan Falun [the main book of Falun Gong]. The police also took away their two computers. While in the detention center, both of them kept Teacher's words in their hearts and continued to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the police. The detention center delivered their cases to the Chaoyang City Intermediate People's Court and recommended to sentence Li Linhai to thirteen years in prison and Xu Shuhua to six years.

On December 5, 2002, Guo Hao (male, 36) was kidnapped by the police and detained in the First Criminal Detention Center. Guo had been detained once before. It is speculated that he will be sentenced to prison also.

A couple, Mr. Zhou and Ms. Li from Machang, a rural area, along with seven other practitioners, were kidnapped by the police and sent to the First Criminal Detention Center. All of their cases are pending in the Chaoyang Intermediate People's Court. The police are using vicious and despicable means to persecute the practitioners.

We hope that practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions and to help our practitioners break through the hardship. At the same time, let's study the Fa more diligently, always look inside to remove our attachments and completely eradicate the old forces' arrangement.
