Beijing's Tuanhe Forced-Labor Camp Brutally Mistreats Falun Gong Practitioners

January 17, 2003

(Clearwisdom.net) I was kidnapped and imprisoned at Beijing's Tuanhe Forced-Labor Camp. While I was there, I experienced and witnessed the labor camp policemen persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners.

  1. Ni Zhenxiong, the head of Brigade Two of Beijing's Tuanhe Forced-Labor Camp, is the prime criminal persecuting Dafa practitioners. He is especially in charge of brainwashing. All the persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners in Brigade Two was his idea. He often drags Falun Dafa practitioners to an office or some place that cannot be seen by others, and relentlessly shocks practitioners with electric batons and forces them to give in. In February 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners Liu Cheng, Hu XX and other practitioners were electrically shocked by him. He also tried other kinds of methods to torture Falun Dafa practitioner's spirits such as deprivation of sleep, and corporal punishment. Many Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered from their torture. Furthermore, Zhang Mingzhi, a former Dafa practitioner became a collaborator after not being able to withstand the intense pressure, brainwashing and torture, and was then used by Ni Zhenxiong to persecute diligent Falun Dafa practitioners.
  2. Falun Dafa practitioner Lin Chengtao is a young scholar. He made many contributions to the country. In Brigade Two of the Tuanhe Forced-Labor Camp, he went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. Later, he was transferred to Brigade Four where regular criminals were held. The head of Brigade Four ordered several criminals to abuse him all day long. They left him in the cold in winter, and dragged him out to run on the sports ground. Now they bind him to the bed and only allow him to use the bathroom twice at fixed times all day long. Criminals are divided in groups to watch him day and night. Because of several months' of being tied to the bed, he can barely walk, and became disoriented and confused. Nobody knows how much longer the authorities will continue to subject him to this type of torture.
  3. The directors of the labor camp, Li XX and Du XX, acknowledged all the means of corporal punishment conducted by the Tuanhe Forced-Labor Camp. The policemen in every Brigade then carry them out. When directly confronted with their use of such methods, they would become agitated and invent ridiculous excuses such as they are only conducting "Physical Training" in order to cover up their crimes.
