[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Wu Wei, a man in his fifties, was the Party Secretary of the Changchun No. 1 Automobile Corporation, the largest government-owned industry in Changchun, which has more than 100,000 employees. Wu was the chief officer of the Changchun No. 1 Automobile Corporation, and thus, the chief criminal responsible for the persecution of Dafa and Dafa disciples there. After colluding with the Party propaganda agencies in Jilin Province and Changchun City, he forced No. 1 Automobile Corporation employees to stay outdoors in the freezing winter weather for the so-called "10,000 signature campaign," which brought complaints from everyone. When Wu was inspecting the No. 1 Automobile Corporation, in order to curry favor with Jiang, Wu arranged and fabricated a story that a Dafa practitioner there had refused to take medication after practicing Falun Dafa and thus suffered some bad consequences. The No.1 Automobile Corporation always took the lead whenever Changchun had a mass persecution of Dafa disciples. After the cable network in Changchun broadcast the real story of Falun Dafa in March 2002, the Security Division of No. 1 Automobile Corporation beat a Dafa disciple to death in the basement. Wu also ordered all divisions and subdivisions of the No. 1 Automobile Corporation to complete a thorough screening, asking each and every Dafa disciple to give up the practice. Those employees who still insisted on practicing were laid off, fired, or changed to another position. He even ordered the cancellation of the registrations of permanent residence for Dafa disciples that were being illegally detained [in labor camps]. In early 2003, Wu was diagnosed with cancer and died shortly afterwards.
Another major criminal in the No. 1 Automobile Corporation who persecutes Dafa disciples is Yu Zuoying. He used to be an assistant to the Director of Jincheng Police Division and later became the Deputy Director. The arrest of Dafa practitioners in No. 1 Automobile Corporation, as well as the illegal detainment of practitioners and sending them to labor camps without the proper signatures were all approved by Yu. Yu also extorts money from Dafa practitioner's family members and has thus illegally amassed a large fortune. Yu has previously supervised the beating of a Dafa disciple to death.
