New Hampshire Falun Gong Practitioners Gather in Front of State Capitol to Call for an End of Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) As reported deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in China have been increasing, a global appeal was initiated to call for an end to the killing. New Hampshire Falun Gong practitioners and supporters also joined this global activity. On January 24, 2003, practitioners from New England held a peaceful appeal in front of the State House in Concord City, New Hampshire. Despite chilly winds, the practitioners demonstrated Falun Dafa exercises and held a candlelight vigil on the steps of the State Capitol. The state capital newspaper and a TV station covered the activity.

After the candlelight vigil, Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference inside the official building opposite the State House. Some practitioners who have personally suffered persecution and whose family members are still being imprisoned in the forced labor camps in China made speeches.
