Toronto Policeman Expresses Sympathy as Practitioners Join Worldwide Effort to Expose the Evil Measures Jiang Uses to Persecute Falun Gong Overseas

Tuesday January 28- Falun Gong practitioners held a news conference in front of the Chinese Consulate in Toronto to call on the international community to help rescue Hong Kong permanent Resident Mr. Chan Wing-yuen now jailed in Myanmar, and disclose the persecution of Falun Gong overseas by Jiang Zemin and his regime.

Practitioners lined up outside the Chinese consulate and sent forth righteous thoughts in the minus 10 degree weather. The energy was quiet and solemn. Media cameras took pictures as people walked by and stared. A police officer came over to ask what the press conference was about. He expressed his sympathy when he heard how 70- year-old Mr. Chan was jailed for 7 years under pressure from Jiang's regime just for holding a little Falun Gong banner on the street. He smiled when we told him that today's appeal would be very peaceful. He said, "I know you people very well, you are always peaceful!"

Later in the day a reporter from a national newspaper expressed her admiration for all the practitioners who continue to appeal 24 hours a day in the freezing weather. She truly saw the determined hearts of all practitioners and the power of Truthfulness-Compassion -Tolerance.
