4. Dafa Has Given Me the Boat to Clarify the Truth to All Sentient Beings

After going back home, I found that the situation was horrible. Many Dafa practitioners had been arrested, sent to jail, forced labor camps or brain washing classes. I lost contact with the other Dafa practitioners. During that September, I read an article by a fellow practitioner on the internet, which suggested that we clarify the facts of Dafa to more people. If each practitioner talked to ten people so as to give them a positive view, then a billion people would come to understand Dafa. All right! This is what we must do! Later, some fellow Dafa practitioners returned home and we were able to contact each other, and we decided to post and deliver some materials that clarify the true situation about Falun Dafa.

The first time I went to post materials I used a bike as a means of transport and posted the materials during the night. When I was about to post the first one, my heart almost jumped out of my throat. This feeling of fear wasn't exposed when I went to Beijing, and I was unable to control it. As soon as I posted the first one, I jumped on my bicycle and left in a hurry. Suddenly a police car started to follow me from behind. While I rode my bicycle as fast as possible, the police car quickly caught up and stopped right beside me. I still kept riding forward, then I heard someone saying "Take care!" I then came to realize that the police car was actually dropping someone off!

I gathered my thoughts together and continued to post the materials. When I worked on the second page, I knocked my bottle of glue over. Thus I posted only a dozen sets of truth clarifying materials. Back home I thought to myself, "why is it so hard for me to do this!" I realized that I should look at this issue from the point of the Fa, instead of looking at it as an ordinary person. Later through my Fa study and my experience in truth clarifying work, I realized the reason of my "fear". My understanding was that "fear" is actually a low level being that's attached to our body and is postnatal. The more you are attached to it, the stronger it will be and up to a certain point, it will be able to control you. If something dangerous is about to occur, it will replace your main consciousness and let you feel fear so that we will escape for our safety. So fear originated from selfishness and it's the instinct of a low level life; all animals have such instincts. They are an inferior lifeforms to us because their nature is selfish. From another point of view, do Gods or Buddhas have fear? No, their bodies are as large as the universe and they are as solid as diamonds. The enlighted beings are totally altruists, they live for others, they have no concept of self, so what should they be afraid of? So to attain the level of a Buhdda, one should eliminate one's selfishness. Through practicing Falun Dafa you will be able to identify it and eliminate it. But this has to be done layer by layer, because selfishness exists in all dimensions and is deeply-rooted. So we have to cultivate ourselves through longterm hardships and practice. Now we are saving sentient beings which is the greatest cause, we do this for the benefits of others, so there is nothing we should be afraid of.

Having realized this, I became courageous and assured, and the activities that were carried out went smoothly, but it took a while to reach that status. Gradually, our truth clarifying materials reached hospitals, factories, research institutes, universities, supermarkets, and residential areas. After the so-called "self-immolation" event, we upgraded our efforts in delivering these materials to let more people know about the truth.

As a brief estimation, I have delivered up to ten thousand copies of materials, a thousand letters, and up to one hundred Video CDs. I didn't run into any real danger during these process' which showed the power of Dafa. As long as our heart is on Dafa, nothing can stop us. Of course, there had been some hardships and mental tribulations, but Dafa has led my way through them.

In the evening right before the New Year 's Eve of 2001, almost all of the work units and companies were holding banquets, I just kept on delivering Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials. When I looked at the people in the crowed restaurants, I was distressed for them. Contrary to them, we Dafa practitioners were using our meager incomes and putting in a great amount of effort in the face of being arrested to make and deliver these materials in chilly winds for the purpose of saving them these people who are squandering public money, that mentality is hard to describe with words. But due to their ignorance, they have now become lost, and they need us to tell them the truth, to show them the direction and to lead them back to their own world. In the article "True Cultivation", our Teacher said: "Did you know that in order to save you the Buddha once begged for food among everyday people? Today, I once again make the door wide open, and teach this Dafa to save you. I have never felt bitter for the numerous hardships I have suffered. Then what do you have that still can't be abandoned? ". Of course we don't focus on these people's flesh bodies, what we save are their true lives.

Through Fa study and clarifying the truth to people, I realized that our life is the boat of Dafa unto which people are saved. Our Teacher gave us this life. The more compassionate we are, the bigger the boat will be and the larger the number of sentient beings can be saved. The truth clarifying materials are the tickets to get on board so that they can return to their own original world. The enlightened beings have no self, they live for all the sentient beings. They simply contribute while asking for no rewards. I am a big boat, a world, a universe, a celestial body. But the sentient beings may never know me while I forever existed for all of them.

5. Clarifying the Truth of Dafa on Trips

After I had read our Teacher's words:

I started clarifying the truth by making use of every opportunity on my trips.

On a bus or train, I would talk to the one sitting next to me. While getting a lift on a tricycle, I would talk to the man who was steering. When I took a taxi, I would clarify the truth to the driver. On a minibus, I would talk to the passengers inside and pass on some truth clarifying materials or Video CDs. I didn't let any chance pass.

Once when I clarified the truth to the steersman of a tricycle, he said that he had practiced Falun Dafa before but no longer dared to practice anymore due to the pressure and that he only practiced for his health. So I told him: "Don't We Dafa practitioners follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance? We should be selfless and not live just for oneself. If you practiced just for your health, that's selfish and goes in the opposite direction of the principles contained in Falun Dafa, so what's the use of doing the exercises? You won't attain good health that way. Teacher Li has suffered so much for us, why? He wanted to save us. Then what's the purpose to save us, isn't it to allow us to save others? Now Teacher Li has taken on the karma that you have attained, and yet you won't clarify the truth and save people, isn't that a waste of Teacher Li's efforts! Aren't you letting our Teacher down?" I also told him what those whose Third Eye is open have seen how Teacher Li had suffered for us. Hearing my words, he burst into tears and expressed that he would start to clarify the truth later on.

The other day I clarified the facts of Dafa with the owner of a motorcycle. After I finished talking, he said his mother is a Falun Gong practitioner and once went to peacefully appeal in Beijing. Owing to the propaganda on TV, he didn't quite understand and had a negative impression to Falun Gong. He said: "by listening to you, I have come to realize that Falun Gong is good. I'll read Falun Gong books in the future." He shook hands with me and said with a certain excitement: "we have a predestined relationship. I hope you come next time, thank you!"

Another time, I spoke out loud in a public gathering. I said, " You all know about Falun Dafa, let me tell you that Dafa is the most righteous law in the universe, and teaches people to practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. Do you know why the government controlled TV programs are against Dafa? That's because "falseness-evil-cruelness" are very popular in our society, they are the opposite to Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, so "it" stood up to resist Dafa. Since "it's" bad, "it" spread lies, frames up Falun Dafa and keeps on committing terrible crimes." Then a young man said: "There were two Falun Gong practitioners arrested just a few days ago over here. Aren't you afraid of being arrested by them?" I replied: "If I am afraid of them, I would not have come. If I don't speak out, how could you know the facts. It's very dangerous to believe in their lies, you will be destroyed by them. One's life is the most important thing, but the nature of life is composed of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. If you are against the nature of your life, isn't that a denial of your own existence? Please keep righteous thoughts so we can be hopeful."

One elderly lady said to me: "Dear sister, you are really kind-hearted."

Some others recited Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance to themselves.
