[Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Gu Changqin Is on Hunger
Strike for 53 Days Protesting Against Persecution
Falun Dafa practitioner Gu Changqin was recently sentenced to six years of
jail. Currently she is being detained in the No.2 Detention Center in Jinzhou
City, Liaoning Province. She has already been on water and hunger strike for
53 days protesting against illegal detention. She is becoming extremely weak
and thin, unable to look after herself. Her life is in great danger.

[Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Forced Labor Camp Collaborates with
the Mental Hospital to Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners
During May 13th to 21st, 2002, the Jiamusi Forced
Labor Camp sent Men Xiaohua (female) and Qiao Yuxiang (female) to the Jiamusi
Mental Hospital for more intense persecution. The two practitioners went on a
hunger strike to protest against the persecution. Tian Ying and two other
policemen, together with Doctor Wang, the physician-in-charge of the drug
abuse section, along with several nurses, tied up the two practitioners with
strong ropes used for mental patients. The next day, they started to
force-feed the two practitioners with salty milk and other substances. They
injected the practitioners with a very large quantity using the biggest
needle. The practitioners were told that they would be force-fed twice a day
if they insisted on not eating. Meanwhile, they were forcibly injected with an
unknown drug as well. Since the two practitioners didn't cooperate with the
police and doctor, they were handcuffed to their beds. Policemen watched them
24 hours a day. The two were not allowed to speak, to practice exercises, to
recite the Fa, or to move around. Their family members were not allowed to
visit them. Later on, their family members were extorted of about 1000 Yuan
for medical expenses.
As a result of the persecution in the mental hospital, Men Xiaohua became
swollen all over her body, with her blood pressure reaching up to 260. Qiao
Yuxiang suffered cerebellum atrophy and cerebral infarctions. Ten days later,
the police escorted them back to the forced labor camp for further
persecution.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Are Being Detained
in the No.4 Jail
Many Falun Dafa practitioners are being illegally detained in the No.4 Jail
in Shijiazhuang City. Over a hundred practitioners have been sentenced to
prison terms of over ten years. Police in the No.4 Jail persecute and
brainwash the practitioners. Recently, practitioners from the Jail sent out a
message: Greetings to fellow practitioners. Please strengthen sending forth
righteous thoughts.
[Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] The Xinhua Forced Labor Camp Infinitely
Detains Practitioners
The No. 4-5 Team (nicknamed the Demon Team) of the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp
in Mianyang City brutally persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners. Many
practitioners' terms are illegally extended. Lu Bo (male) is one of the
practitioners. He left his home in order to avoid persecution by the "610
Office" in Miyi County of Panzhihua City in the end of 2000. On November 22,
2001, he was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials in Meishan
City of Sichuan Province. The National Security Team illegally sentenced him
to one year of forced labor reeducation in the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in
Mianyang City. His term was completed over a month ago, but the labor camp
claimed that as long as he didn't give up Falun Gong, he would not be
released. (The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute
Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party
and all other political or judicial systems.)

[Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Record of the Crimes of Yin Yuzhen, General
Secretary of Political and Judiciary Committee
Yin Yuzhen (female), general secretary of Shenzhou Political and Judiciary
Committee, persecutes Falun Dafa and Dafa practitioners. During the 16th
Party Congress, many practitioners were illegally arrested at her orders.
Additionally, she made use of Shi Congjun, a former practitioner who has
succumbed to torture, to harass and persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. Due to
her persecution, some practitioners have had to leave their homes.

Are Illegally Sentenced to Jail
In December of 2001, because of a tip, a Falun Dafa truth-clarifying
materials site was sabotaged, followed by the arrest of five practitioners.
Three practitioners were illegally detained for over ten months simply because
they wouldn't give up Falun Dafa. Then in September of this year, they were
secretly sentenced to jail. The three practitioners are: Huang Ruoxu, male, 26
years old, sentenced to eight years of jail; Ai Hua, female, 24 years old,
sentenced to five years of jail; and Liu Wubin, male, 38 years old, sentenced
to three years of jail. Huang Ruoxu is currently being detained in the Hanyang
Prison, and Ai Hua in the Female Prison in Wuhan City. Their family members
are not allowed to see them. Liu Wubin's whereabouts are unknown.
[Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Zhou Xianghui and Liu Yingjun
Are Illegally Sentenced to Forced Labor
Wuhan Falun Dafa practitioners Zhou Xianghui (female) and Liu Yingjun have
been actively involved in making truth-clarifying materials since 2000 in
order to save more sentient beings. However, they attracted evil forces'
attention and hatred. They were arrested in March of this year and lost their
freedom. Zhou Xianghui is currently being illegally detained in the Hewan
Forced Labor Camp of Huhan Police Department, and Liu Yingjun is in the
Dongxihu Forced Labor Camp. Both were sentenced to two years of forced labor.
[Shenze County, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Are Illegally Arrested
Falun Dafa practitioners Jia Zhenmin, Li Chunhai and Chen Peiyun from
Shenze County were arrested with no reason given on October 23.
Jinzhou Dafa practitioner Yuan Ruihuo was arrested on November 3. Hao
Changbin was arrested at work. Yanjun (female) was detained when she went to
the local police department to clarify truth of Falun Dafa.
[Huili County, Sichuan Province] Three Truth-Clarifying Materials Sites Are
Damaged
On November 5, three Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials sites in Huili
County were sabotaged. Practitioners Que Faxiu (female, 40 years old), Hu
Xingyu (female, 72 years old), Guo Xiaoxiu (female, 21 years old), Zhu
Mingchun (44 years old), Liu Longyun (28 years old), one 40-year-old, and one
over 50-year-old were arrested. All equipment was confiscated after the police
broke down the iron door of the house. Hu Xingyu and Guo Xiaoxiu escaped
control of the evil persons with their righteous thoughts. Zhu Mingchun, Que
Faxiu, and Liu Longyun are currently being detained in the Miyi County
detention center. They have suffered a lot and went on a hunger strike to
protest the illegal detention. After the materials sites in Huili County were
sabotaged, the police arrested two other practitioners as well, Ding Wenyi and
Zhao Guowei, whom they thought might be relevant to the case. The two
practitioners are presently detained and brutally tortured in the Huili
Detention Center.

[China] Monitoring & Notification Software To Be Installed in Internet Bars
To Block the Truth From the Public
On December 24, the Chinese Cultural Department ordered monitoring and
notification software be installed nationwide in Internet bars. It is in fact
a new form of interference and persecution of Falun Dafa by the old forces.

Detained and Injected With Drugs in Hospital
Meng Sufen, a Falun Dafa practitioner from the No.2 Cotton Mill in
Shijiazhuang City, was betrayed and arrested. She is being illegally detained
in the hospital of the Mill, where she was forcibly injected with drugs and
watched over around the clock. She is in declining physical condition.

[Yuanshi County, Hebei Province] The Heishuihe Police Substation Arrests
Four Practitioners
On the afternoon of December 1, 2002, police officers from the Heishuihe
Police Substation went to Shatan Village and forcibly arrested four Falun Dafa
practitioners. The practitioners are Yuan Shuchen, his daughter Yuan Cuihong,
and two other practitioners who were visiting their relatives. Led by director
Yang Mingqi, the policemen beat up practitioners brutally, handcuffed them
from behind, dragged them by their hair, slapped their faces, pulled their
ears, kicked them, and pushed them from behind with their legs. During
detention in the local police substation, one practitioner escaped using
righteous thoughts. The remaining three were illegally sent to a detention
center in the county. Currently, there is a ten-year-old child left alone at
Yuan Shuchen's home.

[Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three More Practitioners Are Illegally
Sentenced to Forced Labor Camps
Zheng Lianmei (female, 36 years old) was an employee of the Diesel Engine
Plant in Weifang City. She lives in the dormitory of the Land Tax Bureau in
the Kuiwen Area. In October of 2000, she was illegally dismissed by her work
unit for going to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was arrested in October of 2002
while distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials in the Hanting Area
of Weifang City. She was kept in the Detention Center in the Hanting Area
until early November, when she was sentenced to forced labor reeducation and
sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Police searched her home and
confiscated all Dafa materials and one savings account certificate. Her family
members were extorted of 6000 Yuan (about a year's income for an average
worker in China) to get the savings account back. Zheng Lianmei has an
eight-year-old daughter. Her mother-in-law is over 70, in poor condition, and
unable to care for herself. Her husband is under great pressure.
Another female practitioner, who lived in the same dormitory as Zheng
Lianmei, distributed truth-clarifying materials with Zheng and was also
arrested. She was also sentenced to forced labor reeducation and is being
detained in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
Li Ziting was sentenced to three years of forced labor reeducation and is
currently being detained in the Changle Forced Labor Camp. During his
detention, the police, who have the key to his house, confiscated his antique
paintings and antique books that he has collected for many years. The police
even openly brought in prostitutes while staying at his place for more than
ten days. The neighbors were very indignant and said, "The police hang around
with prostitutes while the good people who practice truth, compassion,
tolerance are detained in jail. It is really confusing good with bad."
[China] Officers at All Levels Accumulate Wealth Through Persecuting Falun
Dafa Practitioners
In December 2001, a rural Falun Gong practitioner was arrested for
traveling to Beijing to validate Dafa. Two days later, officers from the local
township and village went to this practitioner's home and asked for money to
go to Beijing to pick him up. Since the practitioner's family is really poor
and there was no money available, these officers took away the family's cow.
Four days later, they picked up the practitioner in Beijing and sent him
directly to the detention center. He was sentenced to forced labor reeducation
later. Then the officers from the township came to his home again to blackmail
his family members. They asked his family members to hand in over 10,000 Yuan
(equal to two years' average income of an average urban worker in China)
within a couple of days. They forced his family members to sell the house,
grain and all their property. The whole family became homeless. Later on,
according to the officers of the village, those officers spent over 7000 Yuan
for their trip to Beijing. They spent extravagantly the money that the family
lived on. In addition, they gave 2000 Yuan as gift for the Beijing Police
Substation that would otherwise not release the practitioner. These officers
make use of the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners to make a fortune.
Consequently, many practitioners have become penniless and homeless.
[Yueyang City, Hunan Province] The "610 Office" Makes Fortune By Holding
Brainwashing Classes and Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners
Before the 16th Party Congress, the "610 Office" in Yueyang City
illegally arrested about ten Falun Dafa practitioners including Zhou Yuhui,
Huang Juxiu (female), and Yuan Baiyu (female), taking them to the brainwashing
class in Yunxi Area. Every practitioner had 5000 Yuan extorted from them as
"brainwashing expenses" and 900 Yuan per month for "boarding."
[Luquan City, Hebei Province] The Head of The "610 Office" Proudly
Declares: "I Fooled You All."
Kang Peixue, the director of the "610 Office" in Luquan City said proudly
at a meeting before the Chinese Lunar New Year of this year, "I fooled you
all." Recently, the "610 Office" has been holding brainwashing classes. They
mainly take advantage of those practitioners who succumbed to torture to
deceive Falun Gong practitioners.
