Please Help to Rescue My Younger Sister Tao Yuefen (Photo)

Yuefen is my quiet, gentle bright young sister. As adults, we both worked in the Beijing Radio Instrument Plant. Since I am fourteen years older than she is, I have often played the role as a mother for her. After Yuefen was married, she and her husband did not get along and they were on the verge of getting divorced.

In 1994, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend Teacher's classes multiple times. Upon obtaining the precious Fa, the first person I wanted to introduce Falun Gong to was my sister Yuefen. I told her: "Yuefen, let's attend the Falun Gong class. The Teacher is a good person!" Yuefen and other members of my family all saw the changes that took place in me shortly after I began practicing Dafa. In their words: "You completely changed into another person." In 1995, Yuefen also started practicing Falun Gong, and just like that, seven or eight people from my family started the path of cultivation.

Since she began her practice, Yuefen has been strict with herself and followed Dafa's principles. Her xinxing (mind heart nature/moral character) has drastically improved and she now gets along with her husband very well. Our whole family is full of happiness and joy. She pays respect to our parents and her in-laws. and is always ready to help her siblings and others. She gives a hand no matter who needs help. She also finds time to take care of her in-laws who live in the rural areas, and takes good care of her mother-in-law who has cancer. In the summer, she installed an air-conditioner for them. All the villagers give her compliments, saying she is such a kind daughter-in-law. Her husband was touched the most as it is Dafa that saved his family. He is grateful for Dafa and Teacher. He deeply understands that Dafa is good. When Yuefen is persecuted because of her practice, he has always been very supportive.

Ever since the beginning of Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong, Yuefen had been firmly validating Dafa along with thousands of other practitioners. She went to appeal on April 25^th, and July 20^th, and on many other occasions. She has been arrested five times. Her enlightened, original nature has led this gentle woman to become very courageous.

In March 2000, Yuefen was arrested and detained in Changping Detention Center for 15 days because she practiced the exercises in a park. She said: "Dafa is good. Why can't we practice it? There is nothing wrong with practicing Falun Dafa." In June, when she was visiting another practitioner, she was arrested again by the evil police and the practitioners were charged with having an "illegal gathering." She was illegally detained for one month.

One day before the Spring Festival of 2001, she was deceived into going to the local police station and was detained there for ten days. She was finally released after her husband's strong protest. In October, Yuefen once again went to Tiananmen and shouted out the voice from her heart: "Falun Dafa is good!" "Restore the innocence of Teacher and Falun Gong!" She was once again arrested and suffered brutal torture. She insisted on not telling the police her name for two months, but later she was deceived into telling her address. In the middle of December, she was sent to a brainwashing class and was only released at the end of December, 2001. Since then, the street committee and the local police have continued to harass her.

Under these circumstances, in April 2002, Yuefen was forced to leave her fourteen-year-old child, her husband, and her warm home and chose a life of homelessness to avoid harassment and arrest for herself and her family. It is such a sad situation. Dafa made a shattered family become harmonious and happy, but the evil Jiang's persecution forced her to leave home. The authorities do not even leave her in-laws alone. When she went to her in-law's house, there were groups of police who came to arrest her. Because every villager knows that Yuefen is good person, they told her about the situation in advance so that she was safely transferred to another place.

On May 17, 2002, Yuefen was arrested while she was posting truth-clarification materials along with other practitioners. After been detained for one month, she was sentenced to one and half years in a labor camp by Beijing Public Security Bureau Chaoyang division (the address is: Changyin Xili Jia #1, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Zip code: 10024) without any legitimate trial. She is presently detained at the Third Team of the Xin'an Female Labor Camp in Beijing. In the written judgment, it explicitly writes that Yuefen is sentenced to one and half years in prison because she pasted three truth clarification flyers.

According to convention, the sentence date normally starts from the date of detention. But on the written judgment, Yuefen's sentence is scheduled to commence one month after her detention. It is absurd and ridiculous. Only because of three flyers, one good person has to suffer a nineteen-month long prison sentence. How does this conform to heavenly principles?

They also extended the persecution to Yuefen's husband. He was not allowed to work for as long as two months. Later, he can only work at a different work place. In addition, he did not receive pay for one month. What worried us the most is that they do not allow family to visit her. We do not know what Yuefen's situation is.

I miss my dear sister. Whenever I see her picture and look at her beautiful face, I cannot stop my tears. I know that in China there are thousands of practitioners like Yuefen who has been tortured by the evil, and thousands of Falun Gong practitioners' families were shattered. Let all the kind-hearted people join together to expose and stop this evil torture so that our family members will be rescued soon.
