Qiu, male, over 50 years old, is a member of the Cuiwei Street "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Hanyang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. He has conspired on numerous occasions with police officers from the local police station to abduct Falun Dafa practitioners into brainwashing centers for persecution. Last September, Qiu, Liu Qunzhu (female, approximately 50 years old) and Tao Yuxiu abducted a Falun Dafa practitioner to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center using deception. Liu Qunzhu is the director of the subordinate Bingtang Residential Committee. She has been active in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners and is now suffering from a multitude of illnesses. She can hardly sleep at night.

Qiu has also been recruiting informants in order to catch Falun Dafa practitioners. It has been learned that each informant will be paid 800 Yuan for every Falun Dafa practitioner he or she turns in [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China].

It is reported that Falun Dafa practitioner Yin Xiulan, a retired employee of the Changchun Biological Research Institute, went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in mid-December 2002. Yin was arrested at Tiananmen Square by the police and sent back to Changchun to receive an unlawful one-year term of forced labor. At the same time, Yin was expelled from the Changchun Biological Research Institute, and all her retirement benefits were terminated. It is also reported that in March 2002, the Changchun Biological Research Institute unlawfully dismissed Falun Dafa practitioners Liu Jingxin, Niu Xiaodong, Chong Guanghui (all regular employees).

Sources say that the Jiang Zemin regime has given the City of Changchun 40 million Yuan for construction of a brainwashing facility in the Xinglong Mountain area, to escalate the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

Female Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Hanmei, who lives in the dormitory of the Wood Deterioration Prevention Factory, has been continuously persecuted by the Cuiweijie Police Station for going to Beijing several times to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. She was forced out of her home before the Chinese Spring Festival early in 2001. Around July and August of 2002, she was arrested by the local police in the Xiangfan area while posting signs that tell the facts of Falun Gong. After being tortured for over a month, she was brought back by officers from the police station in charge of her residence. After four days of interrogation, she was unlawfully sentenced to one and a half years in prison. It is not known where she is being held.

Recently the Jinzhou District Education Committee in Dalian City, Liaoning Province has organized employees of its subordinate organizations and students in elementary and middle schools to watch slanderous movies that defame Falun Dafa. Some employees and students were briefly told to watch a movie and were not given details. They did not know about the deception until after watching the movie. Many people complained, "I would not have come if I had known in advance what this would be about. We had to put up with the expensive admission fee."

About half a month ago, the police arrested some Falun Dafa practitioners in Huanggu and Shenhe Districts in Shenyang City. Some of those under arrest are practitioners who had remained at home and never stepped forward.

Yin Ying has constantly abused Falun Dafa practitioners and set an example for other police officers. This past summer, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Wei refused to turn in Falun Dafa materials. Yin Ying handcuffed her on a bed for over ten days. Practitioners Tian Ran and Liu Hongmei were also tortured along with Wang Wei. This took place in the middle of the hot summer.

Among the practitioners unlawfully held in custody, law suits were brought against eight practitioners -- Wang Wei, Tian Ran, Liu Dongmei, Li Xiaoping, Li Chengxiang, Xu Xun, Chen Handong, and Zhang Lei last June. However no trial has been held yet. Practitioners are sending forth righteous thoughts every day to eliminate the evil. These cases are being handled by the Lixia District Court, and the chairperson of the criminal court is Zhu Qingzhen.

The Jiangshuiquan Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City is known for its cruel treatment of Falun Dafa practitioners. The Management Section's phone number is 86-531-8551704. Practitioners are forced to engage in slave labor for over twelve hours every day.
