Facts About How Police in Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Kidnap and Extort Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) During the 16th Congress of the Chinese ruling Party, police and the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in the Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region again relentlessly persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. Over 10 police forcibly kidnapped 9 practitioners, taking them to a brainwashing center. Another 6 practitioners were forcibly detained in a detention center. There were 2 practitioners among them who were caught and taken back after over one year of being homeless and living in different places in other cities to avoid illegal arrest. In addition, the "610 Office" sentenced 6 practitioners they arrested at an earlier time unlawfully to two years of reeducation through labor.

Under the resistance of Dafa practitioners with righteous thoughts, after 15 days, the 9 kidnapped practitioners were unconditionally released. Two practitioners were also released from the detention center after paying a fine of 2,000 Yuan each.

During the persecution that has lasted for over three years, over 40 practitioners in the county were forcibly detained in detention centers. There were about 300 occasions in which practitioners were sent to brainwashing centers and detention centers. And there were about 200 practitioners who had from 2,000 Yuan to about 10,000 Yuan extorted from them. Considering that the county is a small and poor county in China with only 80,000 residents, the fines were not small numbers. Whenever the so-called sensitive days arrived, the county authorities would ask various working units in the county to send people and other resources to assist police and the "610 Office" to harass, threaten, and even kidnap practitioners from their homes. They would also extort practitioners and search their homes. Police said they have to follow the directions of upper authorities. Otherwise they would lose their jobs.

In the past three years, all local government's work seemed to be centered on Falun Gong. In fact, the regime of Jiang not only madly persecutes Falun Gong practitioners; they also use strong means to repress all kind-hearted people. In such an adverse environment, we practitioners in the Duolun County never yielded and keep resisting the persecution. We herein call on all kind-hearted people in the world to help us stop this brutal persecution.
