A Falun Dafa practitioner named Kou Xiaokun is Kou Xiaoping's older sister. (Kou Xiaoping was persecuted to death by the Jiang regime.) She has been detained illegally at the Masanjia Labor Camp since the spring of 2002. The Masanjia Labor Camp has not allowed her family to visit her and is attempting to block the news of her detention at the camp.

Practitioner Xie Hua was arrested around October 11, 2002, and his wife, a non-practitioner, was arrested at the same time for "aiding Falun Gong financially." When Xie Hua went to draw the money from the bank, the public security bureau officers who had been waiting in ambush arrested him. After he was detained, Xie Hua resisted the evil and started a hunger strike in protest. It was about one week later that he was sent from the Haidian Police Sub-Station to the hospital of the public security bureau to be further persecuted. He went on a hunger strike for a total of about thirty-eight days. He was taken away by the public security bureau on November 19, 2002, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Liu Yanmei from Changting County, Fujian Province was illegally arrested by the police in the Longyan City before the 16^th Party Congress. He is still being detained today. He was sentenced by the Zhangping Public Security Bureau to one year in a forced labor camp. He is currently on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

In April 2002, a Dafa material producing center in Linjiang City, Jilin Province was destroyed. Two copiers, two printers, a computer, five hundred truth-clarifying VCDs, several thousand flyers and a bank deposit book worth over ten thousand Yuan were lost. (The average monthly income for an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan.) He Shurong (female) and Wang Li (female) were sentenced to twelve years. He Hua and Zhang Lixing (female) were sentenced to ten years. Chen Hua was sentenced to eleven years. Li Lianjin (female) successfully escaped. After they clarified the truth to the taxi driver when they transported the materials and machines, the taxi-driver turned them in.

The Nangang District Procurate in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province illegally and secretly tried Dafa practitioners Zhao Hongwu, Ma Shuhua (female), Xu Menglan (female), Liu Chunxia (female), Chu Qingfeng (female) and Zheng Wensheng. They were arrested on their way to Daqing, and they are now imprisoned at the Harbin No. 2 Forced Labor Camp. Xu Menglan is being detained in the hospital of the Harbin City Public Security Bureau.

In March of 2002, the Nangang District Procurate also illegally and secretly tried Falun Dafa practitioners Wang Yuguang, Li Xing, Zhang Zhong, Li Hai, Huang Min (female) and Song Tao.

The Yuyang "610 Office" arrested ten Falun Dafa practitioners, including Zhang Huilian (female), Huang Juxiu (female) and Yuan Baiyu (female), and sent them to the brainwashing class being held in Yunxi District. They extorted nine hundred Yuan per month from each of them for room and board expenses. (The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.)

At 1:00 pm on October 30, 2002, two Falun Dafa practitioners, Mr. Zhou and Huang Zhenkun, were arrested by policemen when they were passing out truth-clarifying materials. They were taken to the Makou Police Substation for interrogation. Since Huang Zhenkun refused to answer the policemen's questions, they beat him brutally despite the fact that Huang Zhenkun is about seventy years old. The beatings made Huang unable to walk. On the morning of October 31, the section chief of the Hanchuan City National Security Wang Xinlong forced Zhou and Huang Zhenkun into a police car and sent them to the No.1 Forced Labor Camp of Hanchuan. They have denied visitation rights to Huang Zhenkun's family.
