Female Dafa Practitioner Hu Kelin Is Being Brutally Persecuted in a Psychiatric Hospital in Laixi City, Shandong Province

Hu Kelin, female, is a Falun Dafa practitioner who had been employed at the Shiyan Middle School of Laixi City. In late September of 2002, she accompanied a fellow practitioner named Meng to Jinan City. They were on their way to visit Meng's daughter, who had been illegally sentenced to jail for practicing Falun Gong. At the Jinan Train Station, the police detained Hu. Later the "610 Office" of Laixi brought her back to Laixi. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.]

Ms. Hu was sentenced to two years at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. The labor camp conducted a physical and refused to accept her due to her condition. Thus, the "610 Office" agents brought her back to Laixi City. After obtaining signed agreements from collaborators in the Shiyan Middle School and Hu's ex-husband, Gao Yongbo, they sent Hu to the Laixi Psychiatric Hospital (also known as Laixi Number Two People's Hospital, Psychiatric Section). The authorities are trying to block information regarding Hu's case from being made public.

According to messages given to family members of other patients who were visiting the hospital, Hu has been receiving intravenous injections against her will while her hands are cuffed and her feet are chained. The doctors have been brutally force-feeding her and injecting her with unknown drugs. Eyewitnesses have said that Hu's entire body is swollen, and her life is in imminent danger.

List of those responsible for her persecution:

1) Gao Yongbo, Hu's ex-husband, has gone out of his way to make life miserable for her. In December 2001, the night before their divorce case went to court, Gao turned Hu in to the police, causing her to be arrested and detained at the Chengguan Police Station. The next day, Gao brought corrupt court officials to the police station. The court officials ruled that Hu was not to receive any property, and she was also ordered to pay 400 Yuan per month in child support for their daughter. [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.]

When Hu refused to sign the court papers, Gao conspired with police and had Hu sent to Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao. She escaped through sending righteous thoughts. After nine months of being homeless, she was recaptured.

2) Yu Ruizhen, head of the "610 Office" in Laixi City. The local "610 Office" has been furiously persecuting Falun Dafa and its practitioners, resulting in more than one hundred practitioners being sent to forced labor camps. Just before the 16^th Party Congress, the "610 Office" arrested many practitioners and conducted brainwashing sessions at locations in Nanshu and Wangchenxinzhuang. Because the information blockade, it is unclear how many practitioners are being detained at these two places. The persecution has recently been intensified.
