In October 1999, Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Dongqing from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was illegally detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. After her three year detention term expired, she was sentenced to an additional five years of imprisonment. She has been transferred to Shenyang City's Dabei Prison. She is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and her life is in danger.

We appeal to all just, kind people all over the world to help her.

On March 19, 2002, lawless police officers arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Shi Li from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province while she distributed truth-clarifying materials. However, she's steadfastly refused to give in to the evil. Not long ago she was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. At the beginning of the 16^th Party Congress, she was transferred to Harbin City's Female Prison from the Yaziquan Detention Center. Ms. Shi Li used to weigh 60 kg, but now she weighs less than 45 kg due to the brutal torture. Her body is covered with scabies. Shi Li's family, an elderly mother-in-law and a teenage son in high school are left at home without her care.

The police precincts in the Fushunshangkan area of Daoli District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province tried to force Dafa practitioners to write the "Three Statements" [Note: The statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list containing names and addresses of all family, friends and acquaintances of the detainee who practices Falun Gong.], otherwise the police would ransack their house and arrest them. Now over twenty Dafa practitioners have been arrested and their whereabouts are unknown.

Recently, it was said that people from the "610 Office" arrested Dafa practitioner Zhou Yufang from Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province and sent her to a brainwashing class. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] She had been illegally detained at a forced labor camp for one year for going to Beijing to appeal. When she was at the forced labor camp, she remained unwavering in her belief in Dafa. As a result, after the expiration of her detention term, she was detained at a brainwashing class for more than 10 months. Every day, seventy to eighty people, divided into several groups, took turns to abuse her. They did not allow her to sleep and bombarded her with deceitful propaganda all day long. The heavy mental pressure drove her to a temporarily unclear state of mind, and thus she wrote the "Repentant Statement." [A statement to acknowledge remorse for practicing Falun Gong, to give up Falun Gong, to never again associate with practitioners, and never to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.] After getting back home, though, she severely regretted what she had written and published a solemn declaration to tell everyone that all of what she had written was completely null and void. It was heard that just after she went back to work for a few months, she was arrested again.

Officials from Wuhan City's Post Science Institute (WPSI in short) in Hubei Province carried out orders to persecute Falun Gong remorselessly. They often posted articles slandering Dafa in their windows. This year, they forced five or six Dafa practitioners, including a senior researcher with a PhD, to resign by trying to force them to write the "Repentant Statement." Now these officials have received karmic retribution: the profits at WPSI dropped dramatically and they had to lay off a large number of employees. Dean Cai Changwen is the chief perpetrator of persecuting Falun Gong and has met with karmic retribution: he fell in the shower and broke both legs.

Practitioner Mr. Fu Lianjun, 54, is a farmer from Xiqin Village, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. In March 2001 he was arrested when he was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. On the way back to the village office, he calmly got away with righteous thoughts. Since then, he has had to live in exile. In August 2002 he went back to his orchard. But at the end of August, vicious policeman along with plainclothes agents arrested him at his orchard. His whereabouts are still unknown.

On September 30, 2002, director Sun and deputy director Hao Guofu from Lalin Town's Police Precinct of Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province created a list of practitioners and then began to arrest them in groups. They forced practitioners and their family members to pay 3,000 to 3,600 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income in urban areas of China; in rural areas it is 200 Yuan]. Practitioners would not be released if their family members did not pay the extorted fine.

On the afternoon of December 20, 2002, seven practitioners from the Chengfeng Building in the No. 10 District in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province were reported to the police when they were studying the Fa at Ms. Sun Chunying's home. Deng Hui and other policemen from the Chengxin Police Precinct used a drill to break into Sun's home. They also dispatched a fire engine to prepare for breaking into her home from the patio. They arrested five female practitioners: Sun Chunying, Hu Xiulan, Lin Xiuying, and two others, and took them to Daqing City's Detention Center. They then ransacked Sun's home. Two practitioners exhibiting severe health problems were brought back home by their families.

Prior to the 16^th Party Congress, personnel from the government in Hongshan Town, Zichuan District illegally arrested five Dafa practitioners and have detained them since then. The practitioners' current situations are unknown.

Since July 20^th , 1999, officials from the Hongshan Town government have kidnapped, detained, physically tortured, verbally abused, fined, stalked, house-arrested Dafa practitioners, and ransacked their homes and belongings. Even practitioners' relatives and friends were implicated in the persecution. At least six practitioners were sent to forced labor camps. They ransacked the homes of some determined practitioners, including Ms. Wang Yuling, Ms. Wang Xiurong, who was sentenced to three years of forced labor in September 2002, and Ms. Wang Xiufeng, who had been living in exile for over a year. They also forcibly sent them to mental hospitals and forcibly injected them with psychotropic drugs. Clearwisdom has often exposed the vicious deeds committed by these vicious officials..

Before the 16^th Party Congress, Dafa practitioner Ms. Che Guihua from Zaili Town, Zichuan District, who had been forced to live in exile for more than a year, was arrested in the Zhangdian District. Her current situation is unknown.

In February 2000, Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Xinshun from Huining County went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Police in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province arrested him and later sentenced him to one year forced labor. After he was released on December 16, 2002, personnel from Huining County's Political & Judiciary Committee took him to the Law Education Center in Baiying City, Gansu Province for further persecution.

Today, several major newspapers in Chengdu City, including Tianfu Morning, published a series of Dafa-slandering articles. None of the articles stated the names of the authors, showing how shameful these actions are.
