By a Dafa Practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) One day, a fellow practitioner told me that officials in the Luyuan District were registering the names of Dafa practitioners whose names had been recorded before, and that they planned to hold a brainwashing class. He told me that other districts were registering names as well. Because I was busy, I only told this fellow practitioner to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evils and paid no attention to it beyond that. Within two days, a member of the management personnel where I was working came to talk to me. He held a pile of forms in his hand and told me that he was helping to make up fake stories for me and he wanted me to sign it when he finished; he told me that this was to protect me and said I needed to write the so-called "five statements." *

I felt strange when I heard that. In the past, they had never dared to directly ask me to write these things, so I wondered what was going on.

Then I remembered that two days earlier, when I heard about Luyuan District's plan to hold a brainwashing class, I had not paid much attention and I did not take the fellow practitioner's concern as my own (I knew that Master Li would not arrange for us to be in brainwashing classes; therefore I thought that the class had nothing to do with me, and so I did not pay much attention). The evil old forces took advantage of my negligence. So I sent forth righteous thoughts right away and told the person that I would not write anything and would not sign my name. I also advised him not to write anything that defames Falun Dafa.

I remembered then that I had been thinking about clarifying the truth to a young female colleague, and I had not done it yet (a fellow practitioner told me not to reveal myself and advised me not to talk to her yet; I see now that I was very selfish). If I were to leave my workplace, would she lose the chance to learn the truth? So I found her right away and told her that I am a Dafa practitioner and I explained to her the truth about Dafa practitioners being persecuted. I also told her that Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan and others have had lawsuits filed against them in the overseas courts and that Falun Dafa has spread to over 60 countries. I talked for about three hours and she listened very carefully. I did not think about anything else, only to use the time to save lives.

A few days later, the woman was concerned about me and called me. I told her that the management had not talked to me since then and that she shouldn't worry. I would not let them persecute me because I have my Master, who is protecting me. Master Li would not arrange for us to be persecuted. From this experience I came to realize that the thought of being free from persecution will eliminate many losses.

* Five Statements -- Dafa Practitioners are coerced to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the five statements include a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.
