Practitioners Rally in the Penghu Islands to Support Bringing Jiang to Justice
(Clearwisdom.net)
According to a Central News Agency report, Falun Gong groups in Taiwan
organized a rally of one thousand people in the Penghu Islands to support the
lawsuit against Jiang. About five hundred practitioners from the southern
counties of Taiwan joined local groups in Penghu to collect signatures and rally
for support beginning on the evening of September 17. Many local people came to
the rally to sign the petition, including the chief commissioner of the local
Democratic Progress Party.
Falun Gong was introduced to the Chinese people in 1992. With the number of
practitioners increasing rapidly, the Chinese Communist authorities started to
interfere with the peaceful group. Due to suppression and a ban ordered by CCP
head Jiang, Falun Gong lost its freedom to practice in China.
Practitioners around the world have organized many activities focused on
"Bringing Jiang to Justice." Practitioners from southern counties in
Taiwan crossed the strait to participate in the one--thousand-strong group
practice and local activities to support the global "Bring Jiang to
Justice" efforts. Activities included a parade and the collection of
signatures supporting an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
A written statement was issued to condemn the suppression and the persecution
conducted by Jiang and his high-ranking official accomplices. The activity
attracted many local residents and travelers to stop and sign, expressing
support at a fundamental level.
The activity to support "Bring Jiang to Justice All Over the World"
continued into the next day. One thousand practitioners started group practice
in the county plaza at 4:45am. At 2pm, a parade of floats, laden with flowers,
passed through downtown Magong City. A "mind and spirit" workshop was
held at Fishman Pier starting at 7pm, and a second collection of signatures in
support of justice was obtained.
