Three Stories from Prison

Qin is a prisoner who is on death row. Not long after her imprisonment in the jail, she got acquainted with Dafa practitioners. Dafa practitioners' benevolent compassion awakened her kind thoughts, and she started cultivating in Dafa. Every day, Qin practices the exercises, studies the Fa and sends righteous thoughts at the top of the hour with Dafa practitioners. Qin always studied the Fa diligently and asked many questions. She had to overcome great difficulties when she studied the Fa. Even so, an illiterate person like her, who couldn't read a word before, was able to gradually read and recite many of Teacher's articles.

There was a female prisoner, Ms. Yin, who was in the cell adjacent to Qin's. She used to be a very sick person. Afterwards, she also started cultivating in Dafa. Not long after that, her face started to show a healthy glow. The guards all said, "Ms. Yin's body has become so well. You must have practiced Falun Gong in secret." Upon hearing that, Ms. Yin always kept smiling and remained upbeat. There was a time when Qin heard that Ms. Yin was no longer diligent. Being anxious at the time, she shouted across the wall, "Ms. Yin, you must cultivate well. Don't miss this once-in-a-million-years opportunity!" When the guards heard that, they threatened her, saying that they would not allow her to practice. However, it didn't bother her. She insisted on practicing the exercises even though she was restrained with a foot shackle that weighed several dozen kilograms.

With regards to the day of her execution, Qin has always maintained a peaceful disposition. She often told other practitioners, "I just want to study the Fa more during this period before I die. Then I won't regret living my life."

A woman and her husband were arrested for alleged fraud. She told Dafa practitioners an extraordinary experience. One time, she robbed a girl of her bag on the street. She took the bag home only to find a book named Zhuan Falun in it, so she put the book in a cupboard. From that day on, the whole family kept dreaming of seeing a big Buddha who looked at them with kind eyes. Soon after, a guest who visited their home noticed the book and said, "Now, practicing Falun Gong is not allowed. Why do you dare to keep this book in your home?" So the husband tore up and burnt the book. After that, one after another disaster befell them and they were always tormented. Later, they were arrested for fraud. The husband was beaten by the police, and what's more strange was that it was always his hands that were being hit. Someone exclaimed, "Now I finally thought it through. It was because we have damaged Dafa that we came across so many problems. The cosmos's Dafa appeared in my home, yet we didn't treasure it. It's indeed sinful."

Mr. Zheng, a Dafa practitioner, was arrested and imprisoned for raising awareness about the persecution. Upon entering his cell, the head of the cell immediately expressed his greetings, "All other cells have Falun Gong practitioners in them. I heard that Falun Gong is quite marvelous. Our cell is the only cell that doesn't have Falun Gong practitioners. How come they are just so unfair to our cell? It's wonderful now that you are here. Hurry up and teach me the exercises." An attorney was imprisoned for using drugs. Every time when Zheng explained Dafa to everyone, he was the only one who stood far away and listened carefully. One day Mr. Zheng couldn't help but tell him, "If you want to understand the truth, come over and I'll slowly explain it to you." The young man finally came to the old man with a smile...After two hours had passed, the young man understood the truth. Right at that moment, the door of the cell was opened. The man who opened the door told Mr. Zheng, "Hurry up and pack your things. You can go home now."
