Press Release from the Belgian Falun Dafa Association

(Clearwisdom.net, October 13, 2003) "We will continue to provide evidence of this genocide. We have asked the Minister of Justice to grant authorization to investigate the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin."

While the cruel torture continues in China and lies are still being spread throughout the world, the Federal Public Procurator said in a report that Matthias Slaats and Ms Yuhong Shi, the plaintiffs in a lawsuit launched against Jiang Zemin in Belgium, are not considered victims of severe human rights infringements despite the fact that Mr. Matthias Slaats and Ms Yuhong Shi have the same belief in "Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance" as millions of Falun Gong practitioners who are suffering a large-scale, open and systematic persecution under Jiang Zemin's control.

The Federal Public Procurator, however, does not deny the existence of genocide toward Falun Gong practitioners. This is typical genocide, which has been verified many times by human rights organizations and western governments in recent years. Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium will continue to protest and clarify the facts to people about the treatment of Falun Gong in China and throughout the world.

It is obvious that the plaintiffs in Belgium are currently part of this persecution and genocide. Genocide refers to an attempt to destroy all of the people or part of a group. In this persecution, all of the group are subjected to persecution. At the moment, this persecution of Falun Dafa has been planned and organized, and is based on anger and terror. It has been directed against every Falun Gong practitioner in the world, including practitioners in Belgium.

When such a large country tries to implement cruel torture, arrests, persecution and defamation of members of a belief, as well all those who hold this belief, the victims are greater than those detained in prison, those experiencing the cruel torture directly, and those who have been persecuted to death. All who hold this belief and support their belief are victims. As the principles of Falun Dafa are "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance", this persecution targets those who hold this belief and those who support "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance".

Here, the plaintiffs, Mr. Matthias Slaats and Ms Yuhong Shi, who seek to sue Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing and Luo Gan, ask the Minister for Justice to grant authorization to investigate the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, so that they can continue to honestly and sincerely protect their belief. This simply serves to protect human rights and freedom of belief.
