Commentary: Falun Gong Brings Hope for Our Nation (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net ) A renowned Chinese historian living in the US, Mr. Xin Haonian, made a
speech at a gathering of Falun Gong practitioners in Houston on October 11, 2003. He said,
"Bringing Jiang Zemin to justice is a way for Falun Gong practitioners to clarify the
truth." Mr. Xin said in his speech, "I am touched to see so many Falun Gong practitioners under the
sunshine here in the southern US. Many are young. I regret that today I am no longer still among the
young ones, but I am very happy. There are so many good Chinese people practicing Falun Gong outside
China. Cultivation practice is a very good thing, though it is not easy to do. I feel sorry that so
many Chinese people cannot practice openly in our own vast land of China. Where does my sorrow come
from? From the totalitarian regime and the dictator." He said, "I think that today in the US and around the world so many Falun Gong practitioners
are participating in bringing Jiang to justice. Though it does not have political meaning, Falun
Gong practitioners are explaining the facts. The facts and the truth, however, bring hope for our
nation." What is the hope? Mr. Xin said in his speech, "After the last 54 years [since the Communist Party came to
power], are we true Chinese people? After the last 54 years, how much do our nation's excellent
culture and tradition exist? For the last 54 years, our people have not been allowed to follow their
own beliefs. At this moment, Falun Gong appears. Falun Gong practitioners are good people who tell
the truth. I believe that our nation is awakening. I see the future of our nation and Chinese people
here today. I am full of hope. Thank you all Falun Dafa practitioners. You have educated me
today." * * * * * * Note: The renowned Chinese historian, Mr. Xin haonian, was a member of Chinese Writers'
