Eleven-Year-Old Practitioner: Participating in Global Truth Clarification through Making Phone Calls

Greetings, fellow practitioners!
I'm a young Dafa disciple from Toronto. Today I'd like to report my
experience in participating in the global truth clarification through making
phone calls.
That Friday night during the group Fa-study, I learned that on one specific
day, Dafa practitioners all over the world would make phone calls to a certain
department in China to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. I was a bit excited,
but I did not know if I should participate, because I had not often made phone
calls before. It was always my mother who made phone calls. Nevertheless I knew
this thing was important. Later I decided to participate in this activity. That
day, my whole family paid great attention, as we knew this was a special Fa-rectification
activity. Though we had just learned an easy way to use phone cards, we decided
not to use the phone cards so that we could save some time and let more people
learn about the truth.
On that day, besides doing the Dafa work that we do every day well, we spent
the whole day preparing for this activity: practicing the exercises,
strengthening through Fa-study, sending forth righteous thoughts and adjusting
our states. We planned to begin making phone calls simultaneously at 9:00 p.m.
Our family began sending righteous thoughts at 8:30 p.m. At 8:55 p.m., we began
making phone calls. We got through every time, but for some phone numbers,
nobody answered the calls. Some were voice messages, so I left them voice
messages to clarify the truth to them. We left no one out, because this was a
good opportunity to clarify the truth. We clarified the truth to almost 40
people in total.
I clarified the truth to a dozen people, and felt quite good. Actually when I
picked up the phone, I was also very nervous, because I hadn't made many phone
calls before, and also didn't know what to say. I also had a big fear, being
afraid that others would say something bad. I was a bit trembling before making
the phone calls. My mother wrote me a note and asked me to read it. When I got
through the first phone number, when I finished reading the note, the auntie on
the phone was still listening. Suddenly I felt my fear disappear and I also knew
what to say and how to say it. I continued clarifying the truth to the auntie.
It was the same situation with the following phone calls I got through. I knew
that Master compassionately helped me get through many phone numbers, and nobody
cursed me or said something bad. All of them were friendly. The more phone calls
I made, the less I felt nervous, the less I was afraid, and I became more
confident.
I would say like this: "Greetings, Auntie/Uncle [Editor's Note:
Children in China often address adults they don't know as Aunt or Uncle]. I
am making this phone call today to tell you an important piece of world news,
because you can't hear it.
No.1 - An international organization has been established to investigate the
persecution of Falun Gong; it has made extensive investigations on individuals
and work units that persecute Falun Gong.
No. 2. - Jiang Zemin has been sued by Falun Gong practitioners in many
countries for crimes of genocide, torture and crimes against humanity due to his
suppression of Falun Gong.
No.3. - The self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square has been
investigated clearly, and it was orchestrated by Jiang Zemin for suppressing
Falun Gong. Those immolators were not Falun Gong practitioners.
No. 4. -Since the suppression began in 1999 until today, more than 1,000
people have been tortured to death, more than a hundred thousand people have
been incarcerated in prisons, more than 2,000 people have been sent to mental
hospitals to suffer torture. Actually Falun Gong is very good. It has been wide
spread to more than 60 countries and won more than 1,000 proclamations and
awards. I tell you the truth and I hope that you will not listen to the lies,
and remember Falun Dafa is good, and may you have a beautiful future."
They could tell from my voice that I was a child. They were quite friendly
and listened attentively to me. After they heard all, some said they had learned
about the situation. One man listened to what I just finished, and he politely
gave me an apology. He said they had a rule that they were not allowed to
receive such phone calls. He repeated "Sorry" twice. I said
"Never mind," because he had already listened to my truth
clarification.
There was another man who, after I finished clarifying the truth, said with
amusement, "It's a child." Some people listened to what I said and
asked where I made the phone calls, I told them, "It is not important where
I make the phone call, what is important is to tell you the truth about Falun
Gong." I repeatedly told them to remember Falun Dafa is good, and Falun
Gong practitioners are good people who cultivate
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I asked them not to believe lies, and they
would have a bright future. In the end, when I just said to an aunty that I
wanted to tell her an important thing, she politely said, "Please don't say
it, we already know it."
Making phone calls is an easy and direct way to clarify the truth. The other
side can immediately learn all the facts. I understand that in actual practice,
we can improve ourselves, temper ourselves and get rid of many attachments.
Since participating in that global making phone calls effort, my confidence
has become stronger. At that time, there was a making-phone-call training group
in Toronto, and our Toronto Minghui School also began making phone calls to
China. All the older children participated. I also actively participated.
I bought a phone and planned to use it to make phone calls on Friday. We
began to study the Fa and practice the exercises at 8:00 a.m. and then we would
make phone calls. Many practitioners supported us and provided us with phones,
phone cards and phone numbers. Minghui School teachers explained to us about the
importance of making phone calls to clarify the truth. She wrote some notes for
us, together with other practitioners who had experience in making phone calls,
and had us read the notes over the phone.
We conducted a survey in the name of overseas Chinese school students. The
survey was to ask if they knew about the lawsuit against Jiang, the
establishment of the international organization to investigate the persecution
of Falun Gong, the wide spreading of Falun Dafa and the persecution of Falun
Gong.
Almost all of the children participating had not made phone calls before, and
were very nervous and shy. Plus, some of the children's Chinese was not very
good. But we encouraged each other, so most children dared to make the phone
calls and had a good effect. From this, we realized more the importance of
sending righteous thoughts. Every time we sent righteous thoughts, we would
easily get through on the phone. We would also help by sending righteous
thoughts while others were making phone calls, so that they could clarify the
truth smoothly. Though the activity has just begun, we will persist in doing it,
and do it better and better, so more uncles and aunties in China will learn the
truth about Falun Dafa.
