Vancouver: Practitioners Initiate Falun Gong Cross Canada Tour for Justice (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Report from Vancouver, Canada - A press conference was held
in Vancouver October 19 for the Falun Gong Cross Canada Tour for Justice
initiated by Canadian practitioners the weekend before on neighboring Vancouver
Island. The goal of the car tour is to call upon Canadian people to express
concern toward the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and work
together to bring Jiang Zemin, the chief perpetrator that persecuted the people
to justice.
The press conference was held in front of Vancouver Central Art Gallery. A
local practitioner read a statement from the Falun Gong Cross Canada Tour for
Justice on behalf of participating practitioners. The car tour will cross
Canada, to thank the Canadian people and government's efforts to rescue Falun
Gong practitioners and call for Canadian people to work together to bring Jiang
Zemin to justice.
A local practitioner gave vivid testimony of the tragedy her family had
suffered. Her mom and brother-in-low were persecuted to death and her sister was
arrested and her whereabouts is still unknown. She called upon people to join
the global coalition to bring Jiang to justice. In the meantime, practitioners
will also introduce the beneficial practice of Falun Gong.
Another practitioner participating in the car tour felt that the car tour
carried different meaning compared to the precious car tour two years ago. The
last car tour was to urgently rescue Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in
China. Now the environment is different. More and more people have learned the
truth of Falun Gong. The Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice comprises of
over 100 organizations and individuals. The purpose of the car tour is to let
people know the significance of bringing Jiang to justice and that Jiang's
persecution of Falun Gong is the persecution of conscience and justice of the
world.
A team of 4 practitioners in the car tour will pass over 50 cities along the
route and reach Quebec in about one month. Along the route, they will visit the
city governments, NGOs media, and Chinese communities.
