Dear Ms. Huang:
Thank you for your kind invitation to attend the upcoming
concert on October 11. Due to a schedule conflict, I will be unable to attend.
Religious persecution throughout the world is a serious issue
that is and must continue to be of utmost concern to the citizens and government
of the United States. I am proud and deeply grateful that this country affords
the rights of freedom of speech, of religious expression, and of association to
all people regardless of race, religion, or citizenship. It is my sincere hope
that some day all nations will afford these same rights to every citizen within
their borders.
