(Clearwisdom.net) Some practitioners have an understanding that whenever family conflicts arise when they want to do something, it must be interference from the old forces. Therefore, these practitioners may not be kind to their families. Some even consider them as a type of interference with Dafa.

This even happens to couples who are both practitioners. They are in the midst of this kind of tribulation and can't get out. It negatively affects them validating Dafa.

Let's say that the conflict is truly interference. What does Dafa teach us in dealing with interference? Does Dafa tell us to make our lives easier by looking outward, pushing conflicts out, and changing other people? Or does Dafa teach us to look inward and improve ourselves in order to transform our environment with kindness?

In "Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference", Teacher clearly pointed out:

"I'm going to tell you that no matter what kind of conflicts arise, or what kind of situations emerge, it's bound to be that we have gaps in ourselves. That's for sure. If there wasn't a gap nobody could exploit it."

Actually, in most of the circumstances when this kind of conflict occurs, it is not the practitioner or his/her family who have the problem. The practitioner is too attached to doing or wanting to do something and is being taken advantage of by the evil in other dimensions.

Teacher says in "On Healing" in Zhuan Falun:

"Why do people have health problems? The root cause of their problem and all their misfortune is karma, that black-matter karmic field. It's yin in nature, and it's something bad. Those bad beings are also yin in nature, they're all black, and that's why they can come onto the body--the environment suits them. That's the root cause of people's health problems, it's the chief source of them."

I realize that the reason that interference occurs is because one has an incorrect mentality or attachment, which provides a bad field for the interference to come.

In the same talk, Teacher spoke of more reasons:

"Let's just talk about what's most common. When a person has a tumor somewhere, an infection somewhere, a bone spur somewhere, ...they can only see that the person has black qi in his body. Wherever there's black qi there's illness--they're right about that. But, black qi is not the root cause of the problem. Instead, it's a being in a deeper dimension, and it's that being that produces the field. That's why when people talk about expelling and purging black qi, you can go ahead and purge away!--it'll regenerate in no time. Some beings are strong, and soon after it's expelled they'll drag it back. They can retrieve it themselves. Blindly treating away won't do it."

I realized that the surface conflicts in this dimension may seem to be done by that person. Actually, a "black hand" in other dimensions brought it about. The practitioner provides the bad field. Just driving away external factors would be like "blindly treating away won't do it" and could not eliminate the interference.

Of course, the interference during Fa-rectification and cultivation is fundamentally different from people's illness. The later is a permitted format for ordinary people to repay karma, while the former is not accepted by Teacher. The key to breaking through the inference is our behavior must be that of Dafa disciples and righteous enough.

Therefore, when we meet with interference, we must cultivate ourselves and eliminate the bad field from our bodies. We can also send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the outside factors interfering with our cultivation. However, if we do not cultivate ourselves and just rely on sending forth righteous thoughts, we can't send pure righteous thoughts and achieve good effect. Eliminating our own bad field is essential since when we are doing right, Teacher and gods can do everything for us and will not allow this interference or persecution to exist.

I think that we should look internally under the following circumstances:

1. When we could not handle family matters or our behavior well, and do not meet the requirements for Dafa disciples, then we get interference at a critical moment of doing Dafa work.

2. When a problem occurs, we tend to look at the other practitioner's behavior as the problem according to the Fa. At this time, we are measuring others with the Fa without considering ourselves according to the Fa, or considering whether we have communicated well enough so that others understand. (This does not mean that you have to say what exactly you are doing.)

3. We think that we are doing holy things and do not have to care about trivial things in our lives and that others (practitioners and family) should understand us. This standard is set by us C it is not set by "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance".

4. We think that ordinary people would not be able to or do not have to understand the things that Dafa disciples are doing during the Fa-rectification. This situation occurs because of our attachment to doing things becomes dominant and we forget that our families are also sentient beings who Teacher wants to save during the Fa-rectification. Therefore, we need to always pay attention to clarifying the truth.

5. We think that as long as we are studying the Fa and elevating our Xinxing, everything will be all set. Therefore we do not go about resolving conflicts or misunderstandings. We forget that solving the problems with Dafa disciples' righteous mind is actually the manifestation of our Xinxing standard.

6. We think that family problems are the manifestation of not being able to give up human affection. Actually, benevolence for people and attachment to affection are two different perspectives. Confusion regarding this issue is from not understanding Dafa.

Teacher mentioned that one person attaining the Fa will benefit the whole family. The family will become harmonious.

"All of the chaotic world's unrighted wrongs and karmic relationships are settled with benevolent solutions." ("Foretelling the Fa's Rectification of the Human World")

This is the mighty virtue of Dafa and a manifestation of great Buddha Fa in the human world. Practitioners can only achieve this through constantly rectifying our mutated thoughts and behavior in activities of everyday people's society.

Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the Discussion on Creating Fine Art":

"Everything that Dafa disciples are doing during this present historic time is of utmost importance. I was saying this yesterday. I said that everything Dafa disciples do will be emulated by human society in the not-too-distant future."

"You've followed me to save sentient beings, and with that, the meaning of us saving sentient beings also includes how we save human values and how the people who have been saved will be in the future, how they'll live, and what kind of world they'll live in. In other words, Dafa disciples are not only saving sentient beings, but they're also creating a path for the existence of true human beings."

Family is a form of everyday people's society. Why do practitioners need to get married? It contains the deeper meaning of the reflection of Dafa from the higher levels down through the everyday people's society and creating a path for humans becoming gods. Dafa practitioners should be better in this regard and set a good example for people in the future to follow.

This is not only a part of Fa-rectification, but also includes factors such as practitioners rectifying themselves, cultivating and upgrading, saving sentient beings, and going towards consummation. We can't use Dafa work as an excuse and subsequently create barriers in cultivation, saving sentient beings and going towards consummation.

When we can truly get rid of the attachment to affection, upgrade our Xinxing, and treat everything with righteous thoughts, we normally can treat family issues considerately. We will be compassionate with our families so that they do not think that we only care about Dafa work and ignore them. Then our families will likely provide great help to our Dafa work.

Happy, harmonious, peaceful, tolerant, with mutual understanding and support should be the status of a practitioner's family. This status should also be a part of rectification of human society and us. Many times, everyday people think that Dafa is good because they see practitioners' right and kind behavior within the family, workplace, and society. Therefore, in order to save sentient beings and spread Dafa, we have to show what practitioners should be.
