Sichuan University Professor Ms. Fang Hui in Critical Condition Due to Unlawful Imprisonment at the First Detention Center in Chengdu City

Ms. Fang Hui, a 39-year-old teacher in the Foreign Language Institute of Sichuan University, was illegally imprisoned in the First Detention Center of Chengdu City in February 2002, for practicing Falun Gong. Afterwards, she was sent to a brainwashing class in March and was released in August after going on hunger strike. On November 5^th she was arrested once more and imprisoned in the First Detention Center in Chengdu City until present times. Fang Hui is in critical condition and was sent to hospital because she is on a hunger strike to protest her illegal imprisonment.

Fang Hui's husband, Dr. Wang Haibo is a PhD graduate of Sichuan University's Institution of Math and a Dafa practitioner. He was also arrested illegally on November 5^th 2002, and is still imprisoned in the First Detention Center in Chengdu City. The couple has a 10-year-old child at home living without any care. Their wages have been cut off, which includes the child's living expenses.
