(Clearwisdom.net) I saw Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Chengjun from Nongan County, Jilin Province on October 24, 2003. He was unconscious. His familiar face was hard to recognize, and his eyes were gray and dim. He was relying on oxygen therapy and intravenous injections to sustain his life.

We went to the police guards and asked them to release Liu, but they said, "Go ask the team leader." They also said, "We only monitor him; we don't release him." We immediately went to the team leader who said, "We need to have a doctor check on him, and then we need to do some observations." So we went to the doctor who said, "I'm only treating the patient, but the medical expenses were not paid. The guard decides whether to release him or not." We went to the prison guard. He said, "Liu Chengjun is not cooperating with the doctor; he is not eating anything." In fact, Liu Chengjun is not able to eat at all, not to mention cooperating with the medical treatment.

Later, for him to do a crisis test analysis, we paid the doctor 100 Yuan. Liu Chengjun's test result was delivered at 3:00 p.m. and it said, "acute kidney failure, cardiac arrhythmia, critical condition." The doctor told us to prepare for a funeral right away, and issued a notice saying that the patient is terminal. Even faced with this situation, the authorities evaded responsibility and said they need to report to their superiors and refused to release him.

Another Dafa practitioner is also receiving emergency treatment in the same room as Liu Chengjun. He came from Tonghua City. The police beat him all over because he refused to sign a statement to break away from Falun Gong.

Another nine Dafa practitioners are suffering similar persecutions. We do not know their exact addresses. They are also being persecuted because they clarified the truth to people through a cable TV system. Their stories were previously reported.

We made several calls and learned that Dafa practitioner Liu Chengjun is currently being detained at Jilin City Central Hospital, phone number: 86-432-2456181. He is in the Comprehensive Unit, extension number 2558.

When we asked the nurse, the nurse said he was about to leave the hospital. When we asked if he would be sent home or to the prison, the nurse dared not to answer the question, but she said Liu needs continued medical attention after he leaves the hospital.

We also spoke with Liu's family who said Liu is still in a critical condition. He is unconscious and cannot recognize people. A police officer unlawfully terminated our phone call. We could hear the police yelling on the other end.
