Falun Dafa Saved My Wife and I

In 1995, my wife suddenly had a relapse of a recurring stomach problem that caused her to vomit no matter what she ate. She had chest and abdominal distention, indigestion, and she often had the hiccups. Although we visited all the nearby famous doctors of Chinese medicine and tried every treatment they had to offer, my wife's condition continued to worsen. As she ate less and less, she became weaker and weaker.

I became very worried, so I took her to the Fourth Hospital in Hebei Province and to the hospital of my work unit for examination. Both hospitals diagnosed her with inflammation of the stomach and duodenal ulcer. We decided to move into my work unit in order to be closer to the doctor. We went to every hospital in Shijiazhuang City [the capital of Hebei Province] and many private hospitals. She tried every possible Western and Chinese medicine, but nothing worked. We heard that Sanzhu Company's liquid medicine was very good for stomach problems, so I spent 800 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly wage in China] and bought a whole box. However, she had to quit taking it after drinking only 3 bottles because it made her feel even sicker. Our house was full of leftover medicines. We could almost open our own medicine shop. Within 2 years, we spent 5,000 to 6,000 Yuan [about one year wage] on medical expenses, but my wife's situation was only getting worse.

Even in the summer, she had to wear a sweater and wool pants to keep warm. During sleep, she had to cover herself with a heavy quilt. Everyday, she could only eat a little bit of rice gruel and, as she became weaker, she began to have difficulty walking. At night, she could never sleep well. For months, she could not eat when she was hungry nor could she sleep when she was tired. For many nights, she'd lie in bed and say to me with a shaking voice: "I feel that I will die soon. Let's go home." Hearing those words pierced my heart like a knife. I swallowed my tears. How could I stand to see her suffer like this? I felt completely helpless and began lose all hope.

Just when I thought all hope was gone, I obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun and gave it to my wife to read. After reading it for a week, a miracle happened. All of a sudden she could sleep and eat, and her severe stomachache disappeared. One month later, she could do the Falun Gong exercises without any assistance. After doing the exercises, she felt her body become very light. While riding a bicycle, she felt as if someone was pushing her from behind. She studied Falun Dafa very diligently. Following the principles Zhen-Shan-Ren [Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance] in her everyday life, she continually upgraded her xinxing [mind nature]. Within six months, she had totally regained her health and became very energetic. She told me happily, "I'm alive again! Falun Gong saved my life!"

The change in my wife was so miraculous that it inspired me to read Zhuan Falun for myself. After reading the book with a calm mind over and over again, I could see that this book came from heaven. I made up my mind to follow the principle of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance) and upgrade my xinxing. Aspiring to become a good person, I began speaking to people nicely and considering others first. I became a better worker and learned to not compete with others for fame and personal gain. When faced with a conflict, I began to look within myself for the problem. Even when I was wronged, I was able to take it lightly. The bad temper that I had in the past quickly melted away. I no longer became angry with my wife and children and I even began to do a lot of the housework. Our family became very peaceful and harmonious.

After less than six months of practicing Falun Dafa, my heart disease was gone. I was now able to sleep well at night and no longer needed to take medicine. My stomach problem was cured as well. Since 1997, I had difficulty walking, due to a problem with my left leg. I had gone to a famous massage therapist many times and spent 380 Yuan, but it was useless. However, after learning Falun Dafa, the problem disappeared. Falun Dafa saved my wife and it saved me!

If everyone could truly be responsible to the country and to oneself, be a good person, and be kind to others, our society would stabilize and become better and better. This is everyone's dream. Why does Jiang Zemin use drastic measures to persecute good people and ban Falun Gong, a practice that is so beneficial to the country and its people? His actions are irrational and against the law. If people are not convinced of the truth, the situation will only get worse. It is Falun Dafa that saved my wife's life and released me from my illnesses. Nowadays in society, no matter what rank or age, people are bound by illness and frustration. We have found the way to live righteous, peaceful, and happy lives. Why would the government try to stop this? Don't they care about their people? Kind-hearted people, please think about it carefully.
