I heard great news a few days ago: Jiang Zemin was named as a "human right's scoundrel" by Amnesty International and was brought to court in Belgium by 6 Falun Gong practitioners. Jiang will be tried and investigated under the Belgian Universal Jurisdiction Law on criminal charges that include genocide, crimes against humanity and crimes of torture. Luo Gan and Li Lanqing will also be tried as the "highest accomplices" to Jiang Zemin.

At present, Jiang Zemin, the prime criminal persecuting Falun Gong, has already been sued in the United States, Belgium, Canada, Germany, and Australia. Dafa practitioners in other countries are also preparing to bring Jiang to trial. They are looking for judicial justice on a large scale and are urging the United Nations to bring Jiang Zemin to the International Criminal Court.

I was very shaken by the news. My brother is imprisoned in one of the prisons in Northeastern China because he practices Falun Gong. He is being cruelly tortured and is seriously injured mentally and physically. I have attempted different channels to bail him out but was unsuccessful. A police chief told me, "I really don't have any solutions. The higher-ups are watching extremely close. Falun Gong is a big issue. I really can't help you. If he were a murderer, I could help you if you spent a lot of money, but it won't work in the case of Falun Gong."

My pain deepened daily as I was not able to bail my bother out. After visiting my brother a few times, I was really heartbroken. My brother has become physically deformed from being hit and shocked by electric batons; his skin was peeled off from his neck. He looked dejected.

I could not sleep for a few days. I cannot imagine what kind of torture my brother has suffered and what he has encountered in prison. I became ill because of the constant worry for my brother. My kind brother, who has refused to give up his belief in Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truth, Compassion, Forbearance) and tell lies has experienced unimaginable torture.

I pray that my brother can withstand the test and hope I can see him soon. I have also deeply searched inside to find what I can understand from this persecution of Zhen-ShanRen (Truth, Compassion, Forbearance). This tragedy is extremely scary. On one side are the police and government's ruthless control tools and on the other side are the honest people who do not return the same when being hit or insulted. The government has used all financial and human resources to politically target them; this could only be our loss. At first I thought Falun Gong would disappear very quickly under the persecution by the government, but I was wrong. It has been 3 years since my brother was put in jail. The persecution and atrocities against Falun Gong have not been able to change him; instead he has become more and more clear-headed and sensible. My worry has changed to respect. I am always inspired by my brother after the pain of seeing him suffering.

The persecution is still continuing after 4 years and it has not been able to make people who believe in Truth, Compassion and Forbearance give up their belief. This only shows that using brute force cannot win the battle. The continued persecution only indicates the fact that Falun Gong is still the same as before! I think that these nice and honest people who do not return the same when being hit or insulted have shown their courage when they face the powerful government forces. This represents the spirit of the Chinese nation. Although the newspaper and TV stations are still filled with the slander and lies, the truth of Falun Gong is like a clear stream that flows into Chinese people's hearts. It is invisible but one can feel the steadfastness, harmony and indestructible spirit of Falun Gong!

Chinese people have been filled with too much brute force and have become desensitized. We do not want to think, are unfeeling and heartless and have a powerful desire to save only ourselves. This insensitivity and heartless behavior is actually destroying the future of the Chinese nation. The downfall of morality-- the jealousy and suspicion among the people, and the cheating has destroyed the Chinese nation. From this viewpoint, Falun Gong really is a monument. Truth, Compassion and Forbearance: these three valuable words have created innumerable sober lives. For the sake of Truth, they are not afraid of violence. They dare to defend the truth and dare to lift up a cry for truth. They live their lives openly and nobly, treasure life and have a strong sense of responsibility to our nation. I will guard my conscience and the precious hope brought to us by Falun Gong, and treasure the hope and the goodness brought to us by Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truth, Compassion, Forbearance).
