Rescued from my Sickbed, I Received a New Life After Practicing Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) I am seventy years old this year and was never healthy before. There was a time when I could barley swallow anything. A whole week of the rescue treatment in a hospital revived me. The doctor has informed my daughter, "At this stage of her illness, I fear that even the best medicines will fail to work. It will be good to take her to church to learn something."

I became even more anxious after hearing those words. I figured, why don't I try practicing Falun Gong. Actually, I clearly noticed the changes in my daughter after she practiced Falun Gong. She constantly advised me to practice too, but I just could not make up my mind for I was scared. The news from China often reports murder and arson. I was afraid that I would develop problems after practicing, and if people found out, I would get in trouble later when I went back to China. But living with this health condition, there was really no reason for additional worry, so I decided to begin the practice.

I was however very weak at the time and was unable to practice the exercises. That morning, my daughter let me lie on the sofa and offered to read Zhuan Falun to me. I replied, "I can't even sleep at night. It will be even more impossible to sleep in the morning."

But she insisted on trying, so I listened while she read. Little by little I began to fall into a deep sleep. When I awoke two hours had already gone by. After lunch I had her continue reading and slept two more hours. That was when I truly began to learn Falun Gong.

Unknowingly my insomnia disappeared; digestive functions are back to normal, and my appetite has come back. After half a year of practicing I have gained thirty pounds.

I have been cultivating for one and a half years now. I feel quite content and am now very healthy. I also have re-grown lots of hair.

It is such a great practice - they even volunteer to teach the exercises. I should have listened to my daughter earlier and have begun the cultivation sooner.
