Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Rongxian: Living or Dead?

(Clearwisdom.net September 20, 2003) Mr. Li Rongxian, a Falun Gong practitioner from Huadian City, Jilin Province was illegally detained in the Jiutai Labor Camp. Under the long-term persecution, Li Rongxian became ill with late-stage tuberculosis. This March, he received approval to be released for therapy. However, the labor camp transferred him to the No. 4 Team in order to extort bail from his family. The authorities would not release Li since his family could not produce the money. On May 27, Li Rongxian's condition worsened. The staff of the labor camp sent him to Jiutai Hospital. It is unknown if Li Rongxian is still alive.

In addition, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Zhongfu is now detained in the No. 4 Team. On May 14, the police started another effort to "transform" him by force. Wang Zhongfu refused to cooperate. His left arm was fractured in a beating and has not recovered yet. The criminals responsible for the torture are Wang Wei and Li Xiaofei.
