Austin, Texas: Public Trial of Jiang in the Court of Morality and Conscience (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net)

As part of the powerful world-wide torrent of bringing Jiang Zemin to public trial, a Court of Morality and Conscience brought the chief perpetrator to a symbolic public trial in Austin on October 3, following two trial sessions in Houston and San Antonio.

At noon, Falun Dafa practitioners from San Antonio and Austin unfolded banners saying "Falun Dafa" and "Trial of Jiang Zemin" in University of Austin and sent forth righteous thoughts. In the opening statement, a practitioner stated how Jiang had violated the Chinese Constitution and human rights and utilized all Party, government and state apparatus for a cruel four-year-long persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which had caused tens of thousands of innocent Chinese to be jailed, beaten, sent to mental hospitals and forced labor camps. Countless families, including those of some citizens of Austin and San Antonio, have been broken because of the persecution.

A public prosecutor gave examples of cases in which Falun Dafa practitioners and their families had been persecuted. Three witnesses and Representative of the "World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" presented their evidence. At last, the judge solemnly convicted Jiang of genocide, crimes against humanity and torture. The evidence was conclusive and the charges tenable.

A lot of students of University of Austin paid high attention to the trial. Many were shocked to know this terrible persecution. They showed their sympathy and support to Falun Gong practitioners and signed their names on the letter of appeal to rescue Dr. Charles Li and Wang Xiaodan's father.
