Ma Bing's head was injured in the brainwashing class

Ms. Ma Bing is a 35 year-old employee of the Daqing Oil Field Fine Petro Chemical Factory. Although she is widely known as a good person, she was severely persecuted by her work unit and the Hongweixing Brainwashing Class in Daqing City.

On September 9, 2003, at 9 o'clock in the morning, Ma Bing was at her work place when her work unit cadres, Zhao Hongfu and Luan Junlin, came to ask her to report to the manager's office, where the General Secretary of the Economic Police Team Zhou Yunzhi arrested her and sent her to the Hongweixing Brainwashing Class in Daqing City. Ma Bing was tortured both mentally and physically in the brainwashing class. The abuse injured her and caused her head to bleed. The brainwashing class officials were afraid of being responsible and sent her to Daqing Fourth Hospital for treatment, where she received a dozen stitches. Ma Bin escaped from the hospital and called her family. At this point her family discovered where she had been for the past several days and that she had been taken to the brainwashing class.

Then the police took her away again. Her husband was very persistent in asking for her return. The brainwashing class staff and "610 Office" staff were afraid of the fact that she was unable to take care of herself after being persecuted. They did not want to take responsibility for all of this and agreed to having her family take her home. When her family took her home, an official from the "610 Office" with the surname of Wang said, "They will still arrest her as soon as she recovers." Zhao Hongfu also said, "They will arrest her immediately after her health is back to normal."

Ma Bing's husband now has had to stop working to take care of her because he is afraid of her being arrested again.
