Recently, Falun Dafa practitioners in Changchun, Jilin Province, displayed six truth-clarifying banners in the residential buildings. The local police were extremely frightened and called out a large number of officers and vehicles to conduct a search but to no avail. In the same area several days later, the Dafa practitioners hung a truth-clarifying banner across from the police station. Once again, a large number of police gathered and blocked off the area for the entire day, but to their extreme embarrassment didn't find anything. Several days later, Dafa practitioners displayed the truth-clarifying banner in the same area for the third time and then safely left. When locals reported that somebody had hung banners there again, the discouraged police retorted, "We are not going to take care of it. You decide what to do!"

Since Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Tongling from the Rang District in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, was sent to the Harbin Rehabilitation Center on September 12, she has been confined to a small cell for torture and has been on a hunger strike to protest her illegal arrest. Currently, she has shown symptoms of heart disease and arterial inflammation due to the persecution.

Recently, her family members have tried very hard to get to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center to visit her. Seeing how thin she had become and how her mouth was covered with blisters, they requested that she be released for medical treatment, but the officials of the Center refused, saying that they could only release her if her life was in danger.

[Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Guoxin Is Once Again Illegally Sent to a Labor Camp

Liu Guoxin, from Niuxintai in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, was once illegally sentenced to forced labor re-education because he practiced Falun Gong. On April 5, 2003, police from Niuxintai Police Station went to his home and again arrested him. They also ransacked his home. At the police station he was tortured and interrogated and then sentenced to 3 years of forced labor re-education. He is currently being held in Weining Forced Labor Camp in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. While Liu Guoxin was detained, his wife lost her memory and was unable to walk or take care of herself. Yet the police still didn't release Liu Guoxin and refused to let him go home to take care of his wife.

Guo Lijun was an employee of the Tuberculosis Hospital in Changchun City, Jilin Province. On the afternoon of August 5, while was distributing truth-clarifying materials with her 11-year-old son, she was turned in to the police. Two plainclothes policemen arrested her and sent her to Xi'an Square Police Station. Her family knew nothing of the arrest and searched all over for her. At 10 p.m., several policemen escorted the boy home and ransacked the house, but found nothing. The police did not give up and ransacked her home again the next day, but still didn't find anything. The police took the child back to the police station but did not allow him to see his mother. They threatened and manipulated the boy, asking him where his mother got the Dafa materials. The child was so scared that he told them. The police went to the location he had described, but nobody was there, so they arrested an elderly lady next door. As soon as they started to interrogate the elderly lady at the police station, she fainted. Then the police called her family to come and take her home. The police didn't get anything from Guo Lijun. They brutally beat and kicked her and sent her to Daguang Detention Center. They sentenced her to one year and nine months in a forced labor camp. The police asked Guo's family for their signatures of acknowledgement, but they refused.

Li Kaifang, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Her whereabouts are unknown.
