By a Dafa practitioner from Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I read "Letter from a Practitioner in China: It Is Every Dafa Practitioner's Responsibility to Look Inside on the Dismissal of the Lawsuit against Jiang" and felt a deep sense of guilt. As a particle of Dafa, because I have not done well enough, I have also brought about impurity to the whole body of Dafa disciples. I am also responsible for the obstructions to the lawsuit against Jiang. Through studying Master's Fa lectures and looking inward, I feel that I'm so far from the standard for Dafa disciples. I also thought of the problems that still exist amongst Dafa practitioners in the Donggang region as a whole, and would like to write them out to share with fellow practitioners, so that we could find the root cause together and quickly improve ourselves, and do better in the three things that Master has required of us. Please point out anything improper.

Since May of this year, a number of Dafa materials production sites in Donggang region have been ransacked and over 30 Dafa practitioners have been arrested one after another. Only a few have been released, while the majority of them have been sent to labor camps.

The Fa-rectification has progressed to this stage, and it is so distressing to see that there are still such things happening amongst us. In the face of such serious problems, most fellow practitioners have failed to give them enough attention, and each of us has revealed our own xinxing problems. It is really worrisome.

Some practitioners appear to be indifferent or feel helpless; some feel that they are not involved, as if they were outsiders; some feel that the damage was due to inadequate "safety" measures; some think the loss was caused by the "collaborators"*; some others think that those who were arrested did not do well themselves and had omissions, and so on and so forth. Some who were involved refuse to look inward using all kinds of excuses, which has led to various states of mind; some, with the excuse that the situation is too "complex," choose to hide at home, refuse to contact other Dafa practitioners or to do any truth-clarifying work; some spread hearsay, causing anxiety amongst practitioners; some refuse to make truth-clarifying materials, saying that they would clarify the truth verbally; some, in order save face, asked for some truth-clarifying materials, but have held on to them for a long time; a few others appear to be doing Fa-validation, yet they only do it in a selective manner, and only touch things superficially.

Think about it. If we work together like this and are in such a state of mind, doesn't it show that we are not vigilant amidst interference? How can the evil not continue to take advantage of our loopholes? Aren't we going along with the arrangements of the evil? On the other hand, if we can all look inward and we all have strong righteous thoughts, and if we can all do well the three things Master has told us to do and strengthen our understanding as one body, and if we cooperate well and bring our mighty power as one body into play, then will the evil still dare to persecute us? Would Dafa allow this to happen?

Master said,

Clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings are the most righteous things in the universe, they are what Master has required us to do and they are missions bestowed upon us by the Fa. Why are we afraid of the evil? Where does this fear come from?

Fellow practitioners, one thought of an enlightened being can create a universe! When we have such unrighteous thoughts, and when we do not act according to the Fa, what does this indicate in other dimensions? What would the evil do to us? Fundamentally, isn't it because of ourselves that we suffer persecution and are being interfered with? We cannot say that it has nothing to do with us, and we cannot say that those practitioners who have been arrested are lower than us practitioners who have never been arrested.

Everything we have is provided by the Fa. We were created by the Fa and we came from the Fa. Therefore we should go back to the Fa, cultivate in the Fa, change ourselves in the Fa and find ourselves in the Fa. Everything we have comes from the Fa, and so does our "safety." The purer our hearts, the purer our thoughts, the more we cherish sentient beings, the more unselfish we become, and the more faith we have in Master and the Fa, the safer we will be, because we are Dafa practitioners, not everyday people, and we are doing supernormal things instead of things of everyday people. We are judged by the Fa, not by everyday people's principles. Because the Fa is saving us, as long as we keep righteous thoughts, Master and the Fa will truly provide us with safety. If we think with a human mind, look out for ourselves among everyday people, and pursue safety amongst everyday people, then we can never resolve the fundamental problems. What can solve our fundamental problems is the Fa and our righteous thoughts.

Only by having righteous thoughts can we walk our path well, and only by walking our path righteously, will the evil not be able to take advantage of our gaps, and only then will the Fa manifest within us. This requires us to study the Fa well and base ourselves on righteousness. Our studying the Fa is neither to avoid danger and persecution, nor is it for our "safety." We study the Fa for purifying our thoughts, eliminating bad notions, assimilating to the Fa, and reaching a state of being selfless so that we can do better in saving sentient beings and assisting Master in Fa-rectification.

If we can truly be unselfish and selfless, and do everything for the sake of sentient beings, then there would not be any factors left for the persecution to continue. Therefore, we must hurry up! Fa-rectification is pressing, and there are still so many people whose minds have been poisoned who are waiting for salvation. If we still have such strong attachments, how can we do well the three things Master has told us to do? Don't forget that it was for sentient beings that we came to this world. We must fulfill our vows!

We should often remind ourselves of what Master has said in "The Difficult Path to Godhood,"

"Predestined relationships spanning endless lifetimes

Each connected by the thread of Dafa

Through hardships the body of gold is tempered

Why such slow and leisurely steps?"

Let us act now and seize every opportunity to clarify the truth and eliminate all the evil that is damaging Dafa in our region, as we cooperate with the lawsuits against Jiang and expose the crimes of Jiang and his accomplices. Dafa practitioners are one body, and no matter where you are, you are not alone and you are one element of the whole body. As long as each of us can keep righteous thoughts and act righteously, our whole body will demonstrate mighty power and will be indestructible, and the situation in our region will immediately change.

There is a reference on Clearwisdom, saying that the party secretary of a city's political and judiciary committee received 80 letters from Dafa practitioners in one day after some Dafa practitioners were arrested in that city. Consequently, all the arrested practitioners were released. This shows the mighty power of our righteous thoughts as one body.

The following are some suggestions for Dafa practitioners in Donggang region:

1. Study the Fa with a calm mind, and do well the three things Master has required us to do. Do not rely on others, but start with ourselves right away.
2. Strengthen the coordination between us as one body, sharing our thoughts and experiences, with everyone looking inward and cultivating inward.
3. Pay attention to sending forth righteous thoughts and strengthen our own righteous thoughts. Before sending forth righteous thoughts on the hour, we must spend some time eliminating our own problems, aiming at all our attachments that prevent us from improving in our cultivation, such as fear, selfish notions, degenerate imagination, the way of thinking and habits arranged by the old forces and various desires based on personal fame, self-interest and sentiments that we still cannot let go of.
4. Expose to the public the crimes committed by the perpetrators of the persecution through various channels and in various forms.

* Collaborators: Formerly Dafa practitioners, they have turned against Dafa during the persecution and are now helping to persecute Dafa practitioners.
