Taiwan: Some Thoughts on the Rescue Petition Drive at National Chung Cheng University (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) With the extensive media coverage, Hsiao-kai Lin, who was illegally detained by China, was eventually released. However, many mainland wives of Taiwanese citizens are still being illegally detained in mainland China. They are just good people striving to live up to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. It is unbelievable that these people are being treated as criminals.

In this rescue signature campaign, many people were happy to sign when they heard words like "Falun Gong", "human rights", and "arbitrarily detention of good people". Some people with predestined relationships would hang around and ask questions. They said, "I couldn't understand your activities before, but now I know Falun Gong is good." "Some people want to learn but are reluctant to come because you practice in public places with numerous by-standers watching." Some also said: "I have been longing for information about Falun Gong, yet there was never an opportunity. Today it is right for me to come."

In this signature campaign, we did not encounter much difficulty. However, there were a few people who said bad words with hostile attitudes. Before we started practicing, we also encountered this kind of situation. We have to face them, but our attitude has changed completely. Before I started practicing Dafa, I always felt that life was meaningless and that I was treated unfairly by fate, and I didn't know what the joy of life was. After I started practicing, I learned to maintain a lofty attitude with little desire, and life became more meaningful. Moreover, I find that life in the human world is so simple to understand.

The effect of clarifying the truth through this petition drive so far has been pretty good. However, we can't develop complacency and consequently delay what we should do. We should demonstrate the righteousness and greatness of Fa rectification in every aspect of our lives at every moment. For a project like this, many practitioners supported it wholeheartedly and worked together to make it a success. Moreover, to fulfill ones' own responsibility is also to promote Dafa and it is also part of the Fa-rectification. One's demeanor also reflects the cultivation realm a practitioner has reached and the grace of Falun Dafa.

Above is just some of my understanding after this event; please point out if there is anything improper.
