Short Stories of Clarifying Truth at a Sino-American Relations Conference (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Over the past week, a Sino-American relations conference was held at Texas A & M University and the George Bush Library in College Station, Texas. Many current and retired government officials from both sides, including Secretary of State Colin Powell, attended the conference.

Practitioners appealed peacefully outside the conference site, calling on conference attendees to help end the brutal persecution in Mainland China. Practitioners pointed out that it is very difficult for people in China to learn the truth because the Chinese government controls the media, and they are often fooled by the government propaganda. Through this opportunity, practitioners hope that the members of Chinese delegation can learn the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution.

Throughout the conference, practitioners appealed outside the conference site. Banners such as "Falun Dafa is Good", "Urgently Rescue Charles Li", "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" and others calling for an immediate end of the persecution were prominently displayed. Everyone entering the conference site can see them clearly. Officials from China were shocked, and each of them showed expression of exclamation. We could even hear people's exclamations of surprise now and then. Several practitioners distributed truth-clarifying materials to people at the entrance and told them about the suffering of Falun Gong in China because of the persecution.

During our appeal, many touching stories happened. Although many high-ranking officials from China didn't dare to talk with us when other people were around, they still wanted to reach us. When we passed truth-clarifying materials to two officials, they smiled and said: "Actually we know the truth. Despite the information blockage, we still find a way to read news from overseas."

When another Chinese official passed by us in a hurry, he said: "We understand now. Please send my greetings to your Master Li."

On the evening of November 6, a small reception was held outside of the library. Former U.S. president Bush, some U.S. officials and Chinese officials watched the performance together. Falun Gong practitioners held an appeal with banners not far from them. After the banquet, as the Chinese officials walked out, practitioners told them from the heart: "Falun Dafa is good!" One practitioner sincerely told the Chinese officials: "Please don't be deceived by Jiang Zemin's lies." One official answered: "No, I don't believe him."

A local student has been very supportive since he learned the truth of Falun Gong last year. He helped us distribute a lot truth-clarifying materials. He also made two banners for this appeal and held them with us in the chilly night, appealing for justice.

On November 6, The Battalion, the university's daily newspaper, published a large photo of practitioners practicing Falun Gong. The report attracted the Faculty and students' attention, as the paper prints 10,000 copies daily.

From these touching stories, little by little, it shows us that people are awaking to the truth. The dense haze will eventually disperse completely, more and more people will learn the truth. We believe that those Chinese officials will bring the truth of Dafa back to China and share them with more Chinese people.
