Bearing Witness to History: One Body Without Gaps By Tong Qingwen
(Clearwisdom.net) In Northern China, there is a forced labor camp with high iron doors and a
deep yard. Many Dafa practitioners who dared to tell the truth were illegally
detained there in several dormitory buildings. As visiting day approached,
several other practitioners and I decided to visit the Dafa practitioners who
were detained inside. When we got there, however, the person in charge of the
forced labor camp told us that they were not allowed to be visited because they
were steadfast in their belief in Falun Dafa and therefore had "poor
performance." We felt very disappointed. How eager we were to see our
fellow practitioners! As a result, we wandered around outside the yard and, without paying much
attention, ended up in a courtyard on the southern side of the camp. There were
several piles of coal covered by thick snow in the yard, just 20 or 30 meters
away from the dormitory buildings. We climbed on top of the coal piles and
looked towards the dormitory building. Many people were walking to and fro on
the balcony passages. Suddenly we saw several familiar figures waving to us.
Being pleasantly surprised, we shouted, "Look! They are our fellow
practitioners!" We finally saw our steadfast fellow practitioners. Thinking
of their sacrifice in validating Dafa and saving sentient beings and thinking of
the days and nights they had endured under difficult circumstances, we were all
moved to tears. Looking at them from a distance, altogether we made heshi (a
traditional Chinese greeting and sign of respect by putting the hands together
in front of the chest) to them. This heshi represented our most sincere greetings and respect. The two
practitioners on the other side also made heshi to us. That gesture was the best
encouragement to us. At that moment, although we could not communicate in words,
"heshi" replaced all words. Time seemed to come to a standstill. We
all felt that our hearts were connected, and melded together in Fa-rectification
cultivation. Although the high wall and deep yard separated us physically, they
could never separate our whole body that had no gaps. We were particles of the
Fa, resolute and unshakable as Vajra. We encouraged each other. Our diligent
hearts fused together into one body without gaps. Our steadfast hearts melted
into one body without gaps. And our hearts that assisted Master in Fa-rectification
and were saving sentient beings melted into one body without gaps. This happened a long time ago, but it is the most precious memory in my
heart. Whenever I recall it, my heart fills with emotion, and I treasure this
unprecedented opportunity even more. Posting date: 11/14/2003
